Shirt existed from the winter of 2006 until January of 2008. They played a handful of shows which have now become legendary amongst NDG and West End punk fans. Combining the glitchy-computer noise of children's keyboards and the roar of grunge/90s pop punk, the band managed to get a song spotlighted on 94.7 HITS FM in Montreal and reached a small but loyal group of fans.
After the departure of keyboardist Abdul for personal and creative reasons, the band reformed as The Nevers. Adding the talents of guitarist Max, the Nevers took a deliberately darker, moodier approach.
