ShiSho penned and recorded this little electro-ditty during
the week of Thanksgiving 2008, just in time for Filthy Little Angels to include
it in their annual Christmas compilation. It's a tribute to the big guy in the
manger.
ShiSho was excited to contribute this original song to
the Wayside Waifs Holiday Charity Compilation. All proceeds support this wonderful
Kansas City dog rescue.
After hearing about the tragedies in this
Southern Illinois town in the early to mid 20th Century (tornado attacks and
a coal mine explosion) - ShiSho penned and recorded this tune as a tribute to
the generations that followed.
ShiSho's
first original release, Get Behind Me Santa captured the minds and imaginations
of nice folks from Filthy Little Angels Records to Pitchfork Media.

ShiSho
formed in the Summer of 2004 by sisters Vivian and Midge Ramone, inspired by
Rachel Trachtenburg and Harry and the Potters. ShiSho has recorded over a dozen
silly, funny and sometimes gutbustingly outrageous songs in the past four years.
They
have performed at several festivals in the midwest, appeared in Meow Wow Comics
and started Magnetic Bunny Records exclusively to promote kid bands.
In 2005 they caught the ears of Filthy Little Angels, an indie record label
near Manchester, England. And since then ShiSho has recorded several songs for
the label including a bubblegum pink vinyl split single with Texas electropop
duo, Hyperbubble.
The song, America Will Punch You was recorded by Cleveland band "Harvey and
Felix" in 2004.

Filthy Little
Angels will release the free ShiSho Will Punch You download EP on May 29. Tracks
include the new song "America Will Punch You." as well as a lost recording of
Vivian singing the Dead Milkmen's "The Thing That Only Eats Hippies" recorded
in 2004. Other tracks include "Punk Rawk Boy" with Midge's Lost vocal track
and the Sore Throat Mix of their New Order cover of "True Faith."
We're doing early planning on a Christmas with Little Pocket Comp. No doubt we want ShiSho up in this dirty business. I see you all have gotten a start on Christmas jams already, awesome! I will send you more details. Hope you are still rocking.
