Cos'è Shitty Sheep? Shitty Sheep è il primo magazine italiano in cd-rom, di arte "underground". Lo inserisci nel lettore cd del tuo computer (pc o mac) e lo navighi come un sito web, quindi puoi vedere immagini, ascoltare canzoni, vedere video, ecc.... Il tutto farcito dalla grafica fresca e frizzante di Shitty Sheep.



Shitty Sheep is the first Italian magazine on cd-rom containing undergorund art. Insert it in your computer's CD-ROM drive (PC or Mac) and surf it like a Web site, and watch pictures and videos, listen to songs, etc. .... All stuffed with ShittySheep's fresh and sparkling graphics.

Il progetto prende forma ufficialmente nel 2006, ma l'idea viene partorita e coltivata due anni prima, dall'unione di due menti creative: Fure Boccamara (graphic artist / creativo - rapper stimato) e Nube( graphic designer/multimedia developer - compositore di musica elettronica) I due si incontrano per gli interessi comuni (writing-grafica-arte) e decidono di creare un "contenitore" che racchiuda in se, tutte le passioni e correnti culturali da cui sono affascinati e influenzati e che vivono da diversi anni. Essi sono fermamente convinti che in Italia manchi un "contatto" maggiore fra diversi gruppi/correnti artistiche e creative, e che l'arte sia un mezzo di espressione capace di trasformare la spazzatura più grigia, in colore buono a migliorare il mondo. Dopo un duro lavoro di concept, progettazione grafica, programmazione, pubbliche relazioni e promozione (il tutto a 4 mani!!), i due danno luce ad un cd-rom autoprodotto, fresco, innovativo, professionale e coraggioso, contenente più di 60 artisti conosciuti e non: esponenti italiani, (alcuni anche esteri), di diverse discipline come grafica, illustrazione, fotografia, video, musica di vario genere, aerosol art e writing ecc... Video, immagini e musica tutti insieme in uno stesso prodotto, creato dalla volontà di "esistere" di due giovani poco più che ventenni, lontani fisicamente dagli stimoli della "metropoli"; gente semplice in una provincia "ricca e problematica", con sogni e talento e bisogni troppo forti per poter essere contenuti o repressi e una mentalità aperta e forse troppo "avanti" per un sistema "vecchio e arrugginito". Shitty Sheep, "pecora merdosa", perchè rispecchia il degrado e la falsità illusionista del mondo odierno. Da lontano potrebbe sembrare una dolce pecorella rosa smarrita, ma basta concentrarsi di più per vederci nascosta una creatura infida e diabolica, corrotta e marcia nell’anima. Shitty Sheep è l'immagine di un pupazzo antistress da picchiare, distruggere, masticare, ridurre in poltiglia, ideale per sfogarsi giornalmente. Rappresenta il pensiero positivo di chi non vuole sovvertire le regole in maniera distruttiva, ma fa della creatività un punto forte dal quale partire per costruire un futuro migliore, più elastico e più colorato, per ricavare energia per superare ogni difficoltà ed ingiustizia nella quotidianità. Shitty Sheep, con un'uscita/test autoprodotta, ha ricevuto apprezzamenti da moltissimi artisti e giornalisti, fruitori e aficionados di ogni genere, sollevando anche l'interesse di noti e-zine e magazine nazionali come Groove, Basement, Mood Magazine, Glamour, Vanity Fair, Computer Arts, Pig, ecc... In molti dei quali sono stati pubblicati articoli e recensioni. Appena dopo l'uscita ufficiale del 2006, il progetto Shitty Sheep viene interamente portato avanti da uno dei "padri fondatori": Fure Boccamara che, dopo un'attenta analisi dei feedback, delle risorse e delle opportunità, giunge alla conclusione che il progetto possiede dei concetti di base e dei messaggi troppo forti che non possono venire ignorati o soffocati e che il semplice veicolo "autoproduzione", non basta più. Un anno di intensa ricerca per l'autore / art director che, durante l'estate 2007, decide che ci sono i presupposti giusti per dare un seguito al progetto. Fondamentale anche l'incontro con Daniele Bordignon di Void Brain, web designer professionista, che entra nel team di lavorazione portando nuovi stimoli e ossigeno sottoforma di idee, concetti e contenuti. Nel 2008 quindi, prende vita Shitty Sheep Re-Issue. In questa edizione speciale (in inglese e italiano), viene portata alla luce l'essenza originale della "pecora" che decide di ospitare 34 nuovi artisti, concentrandosi sul genere street/urban/creativo. The project officially originates in 2006, but the idea was born two years before that by the union of two creative minds: Fure Boccamara (graphic artist/creative mind and well appreciated rapper) and Nube (graphic designer/multimedia developer - electronic music composer). The two meet thanks to common interests (aerosol art-graphics-art) and decide to create a "container" that encloses all the passion and cultural waves that have influenced their lifestyle. They are firmly convinced that the Italian scene lacks contact among different groups and cultural and artistic waves, and that art is a way of expression able to transform the greyest trash into a color we can use to color the world. After a very intense development of concepts, graphic planning, programming, public relations and advertising (all done by two heads!!!) the two release a self-produced CD-ROM: the result is fresh, groundbreaking, professional and brave, and it contains more than 60 artists, both well-known as well as underground: Italian artists as well as foreign ones of different aspects such as graphics, illustrations, photography, video, different kinds of music, aerosol art and so on. Video, images and music all together in the same product, created by the will "to exist" of two young twenty-year-olds, physically far from the motivation given by big cities; simple people from a "rich and troubled" area, with talent and dreams and needs that are too strong to be limited or repressed and an open mentality and perhaps too ahead of their time for an "old and rusty" system. Shitty Sheep, because it mirrors the degradation and the illusionist fakeness of today's world. From a distance it may seem like a sweet lost sheep, but at a closer look it appears to be a diabolic and mischievous creature, corrupted and rotten on the inside. ShittySheep is the image of a stress relief puppet that wants to be hit, destroyed, chewed, annihilated, ideal for letting off stress on a daily basis. It represents positive thinking of those who don't want to overthrow the rules in a destructive way, but use creativity as a starting point for the construction of a better future, more elastic and colorful, to gain the energy necessary to overcome any difficulty or injustice. ShittySheep, with a self-produced test release, has been highly appreciated by many artists and journalists, users and aficionados of any kind, raising the interest of well-known Italian e-zines and magazines like Groove, Basement, Mood Magazine, Glamour, Vanity Fair, Computer Arts, Pig, and so on; many of these have published articles and reviews. Just after the official release in 2006, the ShittySheep project is carried out by one of its "founding fathers": Fure Boccamara who, after a careful analysis of feedback, resources and opportunities, gets to the conclusion that the project possesses some basic concepts and very strong messages that cannot be ignored or choked, and he realizes that the old way of "self-production" is no longer enough. An intense year of research for the author/ art director who, in summer of 2007, decides there are the necessary basis for a sequel. A fundamental encounter has been the one with Daniele Bordignon of Void brain, professional web designer, who enters the production team bringing new motivation and oxygen with ides, concepts and content. 2008 sees the rebirth of ShittySheep Re-Issue. In this special edition, in English and Italian, the original essence of the sheep is brought back to life, including 34 new artists, focusing on the street/urban/creative aspects.
