Southern California-style hardcore, blazing metal riffs and the catchy speed of skate punk. New SHIVER record was produced by Darian Rundall (Pennywise, Strung Out, TSOL, Deviates, 1208, Yellowcard) at Stall No. 2 Studio in Redondo Beach, California.
NEW ALBUM AVAILABLE NOW THROUGH INTERPUNK (click here to buy)
Wholeheartedly devoted to the early punk music that changed their lives and inspired to do the same for a new generation of fans, Shiver formed in 1997 out of a love and excitement for the grassroots punk scene they'd been a part of since the late 1980s.
For these four friends, the thrill of seeing groundbreaking bands like Circle Jerks, Dag Nasty, Naked Raygun and Government Issue never died, and what these shows stood for defines all four band members to this day.
Shiver has played with national touring bands such as Bad Religion, Strung Out, NOFX, No Use for a Name and Deviates. They've embarked on tours of their own and they're veterans to the Vans Warped Tour stage in their hometown of Pittsburgh.
The band's discography includes numerous compilations, as well as a DIY release titled "Never Too Late," produced by ex-Anti-Flag bassist, Andy Wright.
For their 2005 break-out release, "Last Rides of the Midway," Shiver flew to L.A.'s Stall No. 2 studio (owned by Fletcher Dragge of Pennywise and Justin Thirsk of 98 Mute) to record with famed punk producer, Darian Rundall, whose producing credits include Pennywise, TSOL, 1208, Deviates and Strung Out to name a few. The band also enlisted the talent of Bill Stevenson (of Black Flag, Descendents and All fame) to master the album at his Ft. Collins, CO studio, The Blasting Room.
They signed with Da'Core Records and the end result is a combination of Southern California-style hardcore, blazing metal riffs and the catchy speed of skate punk, which has become their signature sound and the vehicle for the band's socially and politically conscious lyrics.
