About shiver like timber

shiver like timber is the musical moniker of betony dircks. in australia in 2005-2008 she recorded an E.P, played many shows, toured brisbane, sydney, melbourne and adelaide and supported international acts such as bill callahan, camera obscura, beirut and patrick wolf. she is currently living in london, making new songs and riding her bicycle around. the release of the shiver like timber debut album has been postponed untill her return to australia: 2009 sometime probably. untill then, new demos will be posted here on myspace. her first self-titiled E.P is all sold out, sorry. watch out for a cassette release over the next few months! this here is her video for 'the great escape of houdini and me'.... which was created by danny mcshane:

Maggie cracked her head open during a basement show, so we’ve been out(no pun intended) for awhile. She is almost better so when that happens we’ll be back in the recording studio.
