With songs that are "...abrasive and brash, however personally identifiable ", Shiver showcases their own style of modern metal in a catchy and memorable way.
Shiver, a grouping of 4 distinct members, fuses the work of Metallica, Pantera, Hatebreed and Anthrax; raw riff-based metal from biting thrash to aggressive breakdowns. "This band is a statement; our statement" says Ace (vocals); "We are a band based on humor, reality, and fun, we are not a band that bases the structure of our songs on airplay. We are a band that has worked VERY hard to have our songs heard, and we will continue to throw down until the next monkey in a suit tries to tear us apart."
Shiver consists of Ace Bradley (vocals, guitar), Chris Hamilton (lead shredding guitar) and David Dyck (bass, vocals). After the depart of original drummer Ryan Mudgway, problems plagued the band until 2005, which saw the addition of Adam Baldwin (drums) on the kit.
The order is now complete and SHIVER will be heard...especially if you think they'll go down quietly...
Shiver has not been an overnight success story, nor did shiver *quickly* received a lot of accolades. What is most important is that SHIVER has fought their way up through the trenches, broken up, lost members, and gigged as much as possible for 5+ years and through all of that, still remains great friends with a common love for metal. This is why the band will succeed...because love is greater than greed.
If experience is the best teacher, Shiver plans to be around long enough to earn a fuckin' PHD.
