Long version:
Remember that scene in Jaws when Sheriff Brody and Richard Dreyfuss cut open that shark looking for that poor woman's little boy? They pulled out various objects like fish, a Louisiana license plate, boom-box, Civil War chess set, carburetor, etc. Ok, so I made some of that up, but the point is you just don't know what you are going to find in there.
The same can be said for what type of sound you'll hear from Shiver of Sharks. Granted the root of the sound is definitely ROCK, but you will also find touches of metal, new wave, electronica, atmospheric, samples and loops, and even, dare we say... grindcore? Sure! Why not? Oh stop pouting. There's pop influences as well.
The band, sometimes four or three, but mostly a two-piece sonic assault force consisting of Ryan D'Angelo and Brian Jimenez, note influences from all over the place. Some of Ryan's influences include Vitreous Humor, Hum, Placebo, and Antarctica and a few of Brian's include Napalm Death, Ice-T, Bad Brains, and Helmet. Just to name a few - we don't have all day here...
When time and manic schedules permit, Brian and Ryan are joined by Saysha Heinzman on bass and Josh Sakofsky on guitar numero dos.
Short version:
Two drummers. One can play guitar a bit and sing.
