Shizla is a highly creative musical entity, a collection of three minds, two Parisians and
Londoner.Formed in the early part of 2006, Shizla is an energetic mix of musical genres and
styles that is Louder Than Words. From France they bring a background in multi-instrumental
live performances and production. From England they bring a background in the urban music
underground of North/East London. This Franco Anglo collaboration produces electronica
based tracks for the clubs that are Big, Bad and Heavy.
Sancho and Bixlow - Producers/Vocalists/Musicians
Their style and music is derived from the Parisian rock/electro scene. This is where they met
over 11 years ago. In 2003 they formed a band with some other musicians and in 2004
produced a 20 track album. They have experience of several live performances and an
affiliation with French underground electro/dub music. In 2006, they embarked on a new
project: producing Electronica/Experimental beats. They began a search for a vocalist, but this
vocalist had to be English speakingthey subsequently and literally bumped into KC Kase at
work and the rest as they say is the unwritten future of underground electronica.
KC Kase - Vocalist/Producer/Lyricist
Kase grew up in North London UK listening to an eclectic range of music styles including Soul,
Reggae, Hip Hop and Jungle (Drum and Bass). In 2000 he started writing lyrics influenced by
Jungle, ragga, hip hop. In the same year he began producing and co-managing his good friends
newly founded creative arts and music production company: 2 Deep Entertainment. Last year
he completed his first collection of tracks since moving to Paris in 2004 and following a chance
meeting at work, made a natural transition from producer to vocalist.
Shizla is hard to categorize. It is definitely electronica.
The lyrics are Thought provokingly provoking my thoughts (as Kase would say).
