About me:

I'm a fiction author and freelance writer.

My first novel, The Dowry Bride, was published last year by Kensington Publishing Corp. The Dowry Bride is based in India and tells the story of one young woman trapped in India's arranged marriage and dowry system, and her escape and extraordinary journey to freedom and hope.

My second book, The Forbidden Daughter, is also set in India. When a young widow refuses to abort her child despite her in-laws dictate to do so because it's a second girl, her rebellion turns into the most dangerous battle of her life.

My third book, The Sari Shop Widow, is set in Edison, New Jersey. It deals with the Indian immigrant experience and the life of a young businesswoman struggling to make her small boutique a success.
