Food...cooking it, eating it, critiquing it, fun stuff like that.
Music
Pretty much everything, except for the 75% of country music that's totally depressing. Jimmy Buffett probably ranks up there as an all-time favorite, considering I have more of his MP3s on my hard drive (obtained legally, of course) than any other artist.
Movies
My top 10 movies, in no particular order, would have to be Dogma, Clerks, the Count of Monte Cristo (w/ Jim Caviezel), The Producers (original, non-musical version...although the musical was good too), The Blues Brothers, Animal House, X-Men, Walking Tall (w/ the Rock), Blazing Saddles, and Stripes. Around the holidays, I enjoy Scrooged, the Grinch, and the Hebrew Hammer.
My Name is Earl, Burn Notice, WWE and TNA programming, Psych, Scrubs, NCIS, the Unit, Reaper, and whatever the latest incarnation of Power Rangers is. Recently, I got into a few probably-ill-fated Fox shows, namely New Amsterdam (which has, in fact, been cancelled) and Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles.
..
Books
Not really much of a leisure reader. I enjoy the works of Mick Foley, Dennis Miller, and RD Reynolds. My last read was "Nothing is Sacred" by Lewis Black.
Heroes
Curtis, the night shift shuttle bus driver at SEPTA's Cornwells Heights train station.
And then there's Jesus. Not from a religious standpoint, but from a professional standpoint. Water into wine? Feeding 5000 with 5 loaves and 2 fish? Having a dinner for 13 that profoundly affects future generations? That's the kind of chef I want to be.
Who I'd like to meet: Somebody famous. Doesn't matter who they are or what they're famous for, the rush is still the same. Like this one time, I stood not ten feet away from Mr. Bill Murray in the lobby of the Johnson & Wales Inn in Seekonk, Mass...I've also made Caesar Salad for former NFL commissioner Paul Tagliabue and carved beef tenderloin for David Boreanaz.
I'd also like to meet Bobby Flay, and crack him in the mouth with a cast iron frying pan. I'd heat it up first for emphasis, but he's not worth the gas, and an electric range would take too long.
Dr. Joseph Cassidy, OB-GYN (Hon.)'s Friend Space (Top 13)
Hoo boy. Highspots ran out of the Shark Boy shirt I wanted, so I decided on Chyna's and Moolah's books (five bucks apiece) as replacement. I started with Chyna's book. What I've read cannot be unread.
To a man of great wit what do I say on Thanksgiving? I can't say anything, I don't even know what is or isn't kosher. I guess no ham, for one.
Seriously though, enjoy the family time, survive the black friday shopping if you dare to go, and as soon as you read this if it's still Turkey Day, take some time away from the keyboard because I soon will.
Enjoy the holiday. (this message has not been approved by the WF)
I'm awful when left at my own device. To say the least. I finally used Garageband, on my Mac, and almost anything I feel remotely confident about I've put into audio. In other words, I'm marking out for stuff I've written and now produced.
Soo. Just finished Kitchen Confidential. and i am tearing up a little that it is over.. Im gonna miss jack and the Kitchen crew. (sniff. sniff) see you friday. Dont miss me too much.. its not good for you...
For whatever reason, I was sitting along the wall of some sort of elementary school classroom along with other people, one of which being...the Eddie Winslow dude. I tapped his shoulder and whispered "Is there going to be a Transformers 2?"
He nodded and grinned. I then asked "...will Jazz be in it?"
He shook his head. :(
Long story short, I invited him up to my hotel room (which was conveniently placed above the elementary school, for whatever reason) and we partied...with Real from I Love New York.
I spent all of last night and this morning pondering what the hell it all means, but I've yet to figure it out.
