SHOCKPLATE make no apologies for what they are: true V10-powered heavy
metal, charging toward your face with Marshall stacks and double-bass drum
slaps. With the 'Plate you have true, American fury coming at you,
courtesy five Georgia residents who've been sent to sweet-talk your ear
canals with vocal melody, right before deflowering them with the old
Gibson/Ibanez crunch. Part of the few-but-proud Atlanta metal scene,
they've been inspiring other metal-men for years, flying in the face of the
feeble-minded, 'failed-musician' critics that believe all music should sound
like pop-punk or Britpop. And doing it all while earning the praise and
admiration of those who understand perseverance and the need to keep music
intense. So take your favorite barber-shop quartet, mix in true-strength heavy metal, and you've got SHOCKPLATE.
Give an ear.
SP will sew it back on.
You guys were amazing on Saturday night. I had never seen or heard of you before...very sad to hear it was your last show. Best of luck to you all in the future and hope to hear something again someday!
As of current we don't have a show on Oct. 19th. The Colossick crew will be out to support the plate and get fucking drunk with you guys. Colossick has been longing for a good SHOCK from the PLATE. Chezy I know but I'm drunk.
