SHOCKPLATE make no apologies for what they are: true V10-powered heavy metal, charging toward your face with Marshall stacks and double-bass drum slaps. With the 'Plate you have true, American fury coming at you, courtesy five Georgia residents who've been sent to sweet-talk your ear canals with vocal melody, right before deflowering them with the old Gibson/Ibanez crunch. Part of the few-but-proud Atlanta metal scene, they've been inspiring other metal-men for years, flying in the face of the feeble-minded, 'failed-musician' critics that believe all music should sound like pop-punk or Britpop. And doing it all while earning the praise and admiration of those who understand perseverance and the need to keep music intense. Man, that show Fricken rocked Saturday....I really wish it wasn't your last though....Metal has truly lost some of its edge without the Shockplate
