Shona Foster: The Moon & You
Went to see Shona Foster launch her fab new LP 'The Moon & You' @ The Brunswick, Hove last night. Her band is looking increasingly like a prog-rock outfit although much influenced by folk, country & world sounds to name but a few.

The boys in the band are all distinguished practitioners on their own instruments and the Divine Miss Foster continues to develop her soaring vocals fast propelling herself into the heights previously occupied by the likes of Kate Bush, PJ Harvey and Clare Torrey. The album is very good indeed but I have to say that the band's live performance is even better. So my advice in three easy steps is this; 1) Download the album. 2) Learn the songs. 3) Go along to the next Shona Foster gig in your area and have yourself a fucking great night out!
