History Doesn't Repeat - It gets better. God bless post-modernism - just when you think that everything that can be done with your basic guitars-bass-drums combo has been done, someone can come along and prove you wrong. On the first listen of "Mood Swings and Cravings" one can hear why the word has spread. Turning media and radio heads as far as the U.S., Spain, France, Belgium, Yugoslavia and Russia. Straddling the top 10 of many a chart, at home and abroad. The fresh, eloquent sophomore self-recording by these do-it-yourselfers, showcases solid kick-in- the-ass song writing. All four of these Montreal based members write and deliver the goods within this dynamic roller coaster collection of Alt.Pop / Rhythm Rock / Americana flavours, all thrown into a blender for a refreshing cocktail.

Shooting Rubys have been dubbed the "Wilco" of the North and "Blue Rodeo's kid brothers on trucker speed”. No matter what your musical pallet and range... there's a song on Shooting Rubys' "Mood Swings and Cravings" that will please. Just slap it in the deck and play it with the top down. It's going to be a nice cool ride.

Shooting Rubys have created a Alternative Pop / Rhythm Rock / Americana sound using melody, mature arrangements and vocal harmonies. Each member sharing in the song writing and singing, bringing together four separate voices, letting each track stand on it's own. To date, Shooting Rubys have collaborated on over 50 songs with a wide variety of distinctive styles. Always evolving, always diverse. Sliding easily from up-tempo guitar twang to mellow acoustic strumming, to a hard edge crunch.
