Formed in 2005 from a group of 4 school friends Shoot |The| Moon are now an 8 piece ska, rock, swing music making machine. Their first DIY Ep 'Hornstars' was a local success selling out in a matter of weeks. But the hard work didn't stop there. Having gone through major changes in their lineup and introducing a brass section, the band earned spots supporting bands like Jesse James, The Deadbeats, Fandangle and The Catch -It- Kebabs. This all lead up to their memorable performance on the ever growing John Peel stage at Glastonbury Festival 2007 Supporting acts such as The Gossip, The Noissettes, Mark Ronson and Calvin harris. The reviews were great...

In 2008 Shoot |The| Moon worked alongside The Strummerville organisation to perform a gig at The Palace Nightclub in Bridgwater with Madness. The show was in rememberance of the late Joe Strummer and sold out within days. The band were highly praised by singer Suggs, saying "Shoot |THE| Moon kick bollix!"
Later on in the year the band went on a UK tour with Junction 27. Performing at such prestigeous venues as Dublin castle in London meeting with popular turkish ska outfit Athena and performing the song For Real. with singer Gohkan. Later in 2008 and early 2009 Shoot |The| Moon's growing reputation lead to them landing big supports with bands such as Bad manners and legendary group The Beat and recording/ releasing Their Debut album "Nothing Intelligent To Say".
Next up the band are looking to go to the studio to record a demo which truly represents the bands live performance.
