What is Venni Caprice? And how did Venni Caprice originate?
Venni Caprice is a handmade clothing label made by Boston designer Lori Di. Lori has been making clothes since she found out what a sewing machine was. The passion, patience, and skill to sew were passed down to her from her tremendously talented grandmother Lucy. Lucy made her children’s and her own clothes all of her life. Lori has never taken a sewing class or had any training whatsoever, and taught herself everything she knows. The quality and love put into these items of clothing far surpass anything you will find in a department store.
Who designs and creates Venni Caprice?
"Not only is Lori of Venni Caprice the one who introduced me to Etsy, she's also...well it's easier to say what she's not, but I'll try. She's the fashion designer, sewer, pattern maker, photographer, marketer, networker, and model just to name a few. Collectively, Lori's many roles support her own fashion line, Venni Caprice.
Lori just finished up her Spring/Summer '08 Collection. Planning a collection involves predicting trends while maintaining the personality of the brand. For the most part, Lori's inspiration comes from the fabric - the stretch, the drape, or the color. Most of her designs are a result of her visualizing the piece in her head. Her visualization is then transferred to the finished piece, skipping the drawing step. I find that part amazing because it tells me she really knows her craft. As you can see from her shop, she's not afraid to try new styles. When she finds a style she really likes, she'll experiment with different fabrics. Then she'll experiment with different cuts, lengths, sleeves, etc. to best fit her customers needs and wants. She's versatile, and so are many of her garments.
Her extraordinary talent is evident in the success she's has both online and in boutiques. She puts every bit of care into each individual piece, creating couture fashion for her customers. And she's found a way to make most of her garments wearable more ways than one. So when you think you're purchasing one shirt from Lori, it's really seems like your contributing ten new shirts to your wardrobe."

Lori makes every item we have in the store from scratch. All cut and pieced together by her.
Most of our items should either be dry cleaned, or washed in cold water and then air dried! Never warm or hot water, I would recommend not drying in a dryer either! Unless, with the thermal wear, the item has stretched out due to wearing, dry only for a few minutes and air dry for the duration to ensure it will not shrink too much!!!

Ever since then, our loyal customers have inquired about the t-shirt that is now an infamous novelty item. Anticrime organizations blamed the Stop Snitchin' t-shirt for igniting a culture of violence. The international controversy engulfing the t-shirt was featured on America's Most Wanted, CNN and all major media networks. The impact of the age-old saying "Stop Snitchin'" was ground zero for many debates. Several opposed organizations were afforded the opportunity to purchase these articles at a retail/close-out rate.
