No need to shave your hair if you use Mastix Spirit Gum. It is gentle on your edges and only requires alcohol to remove. I don't shave my edges, I just have a Tyra 5-head :)
Yaki is a texture, like Deep Wave, Curly, Afro Curl.
Malaysian is a hair origin - like Indian, Chinese, European, Italian.
Malaysian hair strands are thicker than Indian = a thicker look overall while maintain a straight style.
