SHORT CIRCUIThappens every other tuesday night at The Delancey.
Our aim is to collectively promote a short circuit of the current music and party scene: low/no cover, focus on fewer bands, longer sets, more sweat, more dancing, and a generally more cohesive atmosphere.
We are currently looking for bands, (performance and visual) artists, fools, dreamers, and other party expatriates to help us build a beautiful bastion of balls to the wall, booze fueled ebullience.
if you're interested in participating, send us a message or email shortcircuit[at]crippleheart.com
HISTORY: Dan and Pete used to book little shows in the basement of Lolita Bar. The shows were a damn straight success, featuring demander; hooray for earth; porsches on the autobahn; unbusted; mad man films; and dj's neverforget and terry diabolik of finger on the pulse to name a few. However, things were not meant to be and noise complaints and music tastes combined to end the venture.
After a little consideration and quite a bit of alcohol, the boys decided that they weren't quite ready to give up on their half-assed band booking and party promoting. So, Dan composed an eloquent email to The Delancey and badgered them until they handed over Monday nights; which, as Mondays have a tendency to do transformed rather quickly into Tuesdays. This was the birth of Short Circuit.
