Shortest Day is a young band coming out of Warren/Youngstown Ohio. We've been through so much and we are one of the hardest working bands you will ever meet. Shortest Day is a whole with Brent Beck on Vocals, Brandon Giovannone on Drums, Jeramia Hall on Guitar, and Chris Brunette on Bass. All of which have there own story on “That ol' high school band I was in.” Hall Formed a band in 2000 and in 2001 brought Brunette on as vocalist. Later in 2002 they formed a new band with a new bassist and Giovannone on drums. They would play their last show together June 2003. A reunion/last show was held on June 17th 2006 at the Rock n’ Relay ‘06. That long, forgotten about lust of entertaining fans through their own music, sent chills back into the band. That night, they decided it was time to get back into the local scene. While all this was going on in Warren, in Canfield Beck was vocalist and bassist for a few different bands.
Giovannone found Beck in February of 2007. He influences our song writing to more melodic singing and aggressive screaming. Balancing out a new sound to Shortest Day’s music.
With the help of our old bassist Gary, we recorded a one song demo strictly to get us heard. Our plan as of now is to record a single produced by Tony G in October at the nationally recognized Spider Studios in Cleveland, Ohio. Spider Studios has recorded such artists as: Chimaira, Drowning pool, Breaking Point, and It Dies Today. This summer will be filled with shows throughout the Warren/Youngstown area, and an end of summer tour in the Tennessee / Atlanta area..
Shortest Day strives to build great relationships with fans, bands, and promoters in the local area while building relationships in national areas too. To some, music is the only way to life, and to Shortest Day, entertaining fans through our music is the greatest high in the world.
