Welcome to my page! Please take a few minutes to read about me, and listen to my music. Let me know what you think!
I graduated from the University of North Texas. I majored in piano and voice, and took a few composition classes. I have been playing the piano since I was 6 years old. The very first song that I learned to play was What'll I Do? by Irving Berlin. I didn't know the name of the song at the time, or the words, but a few years ago I was playing through my HUGE fakebook, which all improvising musicians should have, and came across that song and FINALLY! I knew the name of the song that I first learned to play! I have been playing around the DFW metroplex for quite a few years now, as well as weddings across the country.
This layout was handmade with love by the folks at My space or yours? Go get one!
I think Kenny touched base, but he wants to use one of your songs for the Facing the Fat docu-movie. Also, who knows what, but anytime the shows air on a commercial network, you should get a check from ASCAP for performance rights from the broadcaster. (I have no clue if how much).
Hey Shosh!! Hope all is well! Just to update you if you missed your episode on Jctv. Familynet is picking up the whole season 1 and starting to air 6 times a week starting Sept. Your music is used on episode 10. So it should air approx. first or second weekend in November on Saturday Night prime-time line-up. I believe in your area, Familynet it is on Time Warner Cable. Thanks so much for letting us use your beautiful music. It sets the mood perfectly... that episodes special guests include the director of Veggie Tales and the Exec. Producer of Facing the Giants movie. Let me know if your with ASCAP or BMI and I will include on our cue sheets. TAKE CARE!! -kyle
So this is it: your official (albeit not icredibly personal, and for that i apologize) reminder: "Reminder of what?" you say? Well I'm glad you asked:
THE CD RELEASE SHOW
this time with real CDs
Friday Night. Dec 28th.
7:00pm
The Ridglea Theatre (in the main room!!)
with Aaron Long, It Is Well, and The Zen Tree
ALL AGES!
I sort of told the promoter we could get 300 people there. And I know there's never anything to do that weekend after Christmas, right? it's ALL AGES, so that includes children (bring earplugs) grandparents (bring... ditto) and.. i dunno... all your myspace/facebook "friends" you've been meaning to hang out with "IRL"? (bring pepper spray?)
I promise to not be terrible. Nay, I promise to even be pretty good. And if I let you down, I promise to make it up to you.
(No, i haven't decided how yet, but I'm thinking something along the lines of free karate lesssons, chocolate milk, or having your back in an argument someday.)
You've heard it a million times but you definately have several God given talents. Focus on the ONE (1) that you enjoy the most and go for it. You will knock it out of the park... but you have to keep your eyes on the ball. George
I need vocal help -- I'm doing a musical in Flower Mound -- HONK!!! I'm playing the Turkey and the Bullfrog. I must be nuts!! Three in a row, without a break!!!! YIKES!!!
