With a voice that has been described as beautiful, soulful, intense and haunting, Shosh delivers a unique blend of indie pop with an acoustic rock feel. Having musical origins in Baltimore and San Francisco, Shosh currently lives and performs in Brisbane, Australia.
In 2008, Shosh had a serious accident which left her unable to play for 6 months. Through the challenging recovery she drew upon her experience, and began working on new material. Her steely resolve to perform again saw her through those difficult months, creating a new focus and evolution of her sound.
The production of her latest EP “Second Chance,” saw Shosh team up in 2009 with ARIA nominated producer Anthony Lycenko. This collaboration brings out a richness and complexity of the sound, highlighting the depth of Shosh’s songwriting and her incredible vocal talent. This EP demonstrates the immense potential of this emerging musician.
“Second Chance” demonstrates Shosh’s range and diversity, moving effortlessly from contemporary pop (Maybe), indie rock (Alias), into a more blues/folk acoustic style (Angel in my Pocket).
Previous experience has led Shosh to record a single “Stars” in 2006 with Grammy nominated producer Johannes Luley. She performed for several years with the San Francisco based band FINDING STELLA, and was featured on Finding Stella’s sophomore album “Famous.”
