I teach Dance Classes for all ages and levels at my new studio, Redwood Raks in Arcata and at North Coast Dance in Eureka, as part time dance faculty at Humboldt State University. I also instruct workshops across the United States.
I am a performer and instructor of Middle Eastern Dance based in Arcata, California, where I'm happily married to a rockclimber named Adam and mommy to a lovely toddler named Amira.
In Arcata I direct the marvelous Ya Habibi Dance Company, teach at Humboldt State University as a lecturer and recently opened my own dance studio, Redwood Raks. Amongst other titles, in 2004 I earned the Bellydancer of the Year title. You can find out all that I'm up to at www.shoshannaland.com. My specialties include a very dramatic approach to Oriental Dance, and wielding rascally 4 yard veils with flair.
I appear on the performance DVD "Dancers for Dancers" vol. 2, and will be on the volume, due out this fall. My fabulous new instructional DVD on veilwork will also be coming out later this year, produced by Cheeky Girls Productions. How exciting!

The video below is myself performing in mid June with my favorite musicians led by Georges Lammam at the lovely Pene Pachamama restaurant in San Francisco. Enjoy!
Hello! I hope you had a Happy new year! Your new pictures are gorgeous!! I miss class and can't wait until it starts again! I have some videos I need to send you too!
Hello beautiful woman!! Nice page!! I hope you are well; just wanted to come by and see how you are! Wishing you much love, warmth and beauty from Santa Cruz. <333
Shoshanna! What a great Halloween show, thank you! Thanks for incorporating so much fun and unexpected stuff, especially the hip hop troupe! Your "sweet dreams" performance for Mom was the best I've seen you do, and I've seen a lot of great dancing out of you. Two and a half hours is a long time to sit still watching dancing. I was fantasizing about a little velvet rope area so we could dance while we watched! Okay, I hope drooling fan letters don't embarrass you. Brava!
Heading out to Nashville for All Hallows Eve so I wanted to get my Samhain (Halloween) greetings out now! Happy Hauntings Everyone and Please dont Fly drunk....wink!
Shoshanna, thanks a lot for all your support on my dance. Your DVD is wonderful! thank you so much 'cause i love it! i keep telling everyone about your last dance at the arabic concert in Middle East Camp, simply outstanding!
Thanks for the update! I will be sure to buy and promote your DVD here in Thailand. Always so nice to hear from you and I always read your newsletters and learn about the new adventures of Amira. I miss you terribly but one day I will come to visit you and your new studio ( so so excited and happy for you!) I'm getting into Bollywood and yoga so perhaps I will have something to offer in the future. XOXO Nicoliana
