RICK (Lead guitar/vocals)
----------Rick is a somewhat secretive kinda guy, he told me once that if we knew too much about his past that several men wearing black suits would show up at our next gig and snatch him off stage, never to be heard from again. He did however tell us that he has been playing guitar since before they put distortion in amplifiers.....and something about a broomstick handle, wash bucket, and leather strings...Hmmmmm.....

GARY (Lead Vocals/Acoustic guitar)
-----------Gary started his musical journey at the age of 15 as a drummer in a heavy-metal cover band. After graduating from high school and joining the Army he realized that it was much easier to take his voice with him in his travels as opposed to a 9-piece Pearl drum kit, so the singer was born!! After his military career he moved to Washington and began singing in several country and country/rock bands in the area, and after a short yearlong hiatus he got a call from Pat who was cooking up the idea for the area's newest country/rock cover band.....Shotgun Aces........

PAT (Rhythm guitar/Vocals/Effects)
----------Pat is a relative newcomer to the music scene. After playing bass for his father’s country band in the late 70’s he took a break from playing to pursue other things. He got back into music a few years ago when his daughter wanted to play guitar. Of course as things go, she dropped out and he took her place. He’s been playing every since.

JOE (Drums)
-----------------Joe began playing drums in 1975, he learned the basics from a female drummer that lived in the same neighborhood. After almost a year he began taking private drum lessons from Chuck Flores, popular jazz drummer that worked in around the L.A. area.Since then he has been involved with multiple projects including an Eric Clapton Tribute Band and a Christian Rock project that raised money for the food banks in the area of Seattle and Everett.
Influences: Jeff Porcaro, (Toto) Phil Collins, (Genesis) Casey Shurell (Jen Luc Ponty)
Kits include: Mapex, acoustic maple drum set.

Pete (Bass/Vocals)
-----------------
Pete taught himself to play bass at age 10 - "That damn guitar was way too hard to figure out" - and earned his first gig money at 14. He played with many of San Diego's "party bands" always moving up to the next level and by 18 was supporting himself through music alone with the club bands starting to bid for his services.
To avoid the draft Pete joined the Marines just in time for Vietnam (no one said he was smart) and returned home to Southern California in 1975.
Pete toured nationally as a substitute bassist in the early 90's for such bands as Lyle Lovette and His Large Band (for Richard Bennet), Joe Jackson (for Graham Maby), .38 Special (for Larry Junstrom), and Rick Springfield (for Jeff Rich). From 1991 to 1997 Pete accumulated over 2700 hours as a session bassist spread between some of LA's finest recording venues: Record One, Capitol Studios, The Village, The Mix Room, and Gold Star Studios.
He got the urge to start playing again after leaving Microsoft in 2004 playing for several years with the classic rock cover band Big Trouble in Seattle and is having a blast now playing with Shotgun Aces.
Formed in early 2009, Shotgun Aces brings together musicians from diverse genres and backgrounds to make up the eastsides newest Country/Rock, get up and dance, throw down your shot, close the place down band!!!
We're just gettin started folks....hang on to your hats, your girl(or guy), and your favorite drink and enjoy the ride!!
