History
“Shotgun Affair - It's like having sex in a war zone ... dangerous for the body, thrills for the brain…”
Shotgun Affair’s sound is the combination of influences from bands such as Metallica, Stone Sour, Megadeth, Alice in Chains, Pantera, Tool, Black Label Society and Primus whilst hanging on to a sense of heavy rock. Nick Johnson- Bass and Backing Vocals, James Murray- Lead Guitar, Isaac Reeve- Drums and Backing Vocals and Tom Fogg- Lead Vocals and Guitar have been together as Shotgun Affair since 2007.
Originally formed in 2004 with James De’ath on drums, the band recorded two EPs before Messiah for the Enemy in 2007. Recording The End of The Beginning at Academy Studios in 2008 shows the band in a heavier perspective than on previous efforts.
Since the start of 2007 the band have been working hard, recording two new EPs and gigging regularly in London and further afield at venues such as Bar Monsta and The Dublin Castle, as well as playing with bands such as Diamond Head, Budgie and Tyla and the Dogs D’amour. The band are definitely ready for the challenge. The band are booking dates for the rest of this year and next now either via the myspace or on; murray_james@btinternet.com
