Gli Shotgun Babies nascono nella primavera del 2007 come utopica band al femminile, ma raggiungono nel marzo 2008 la loro line-up definitiva, con una formazione mista.

Eseguono brani inediti e in un anno di intensa attività live collezionano svariati concerti, affiancando band pugliesi e non (Assalti Frontali, OJM, Ultravixen, Kyuuri).

A pochi mesi dalla formazione realizzano "Destroy Your Beauty", inaspettatamente apprezzato sul web dal pubblico americano.

Nel settembre 2008 sono i vincitori del concorso “Rock Bad Girlz”.

Nell’aprile 2009 vengono contattati dall’etichetta americana 272 Records (fondata dall’agenzia di booking Club Fiend di Hollywood) per entrare a far parte della compilation “Riot On Sunset Vol. 16”, distribuita a venticinque stazioni radiofoniche di college statunitensi (inclusi quelli di Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, Las Vegas, New York City e le aree circostanti) e venduta presso i più hot rock shop di Hollywood.

Compaiono su quotidiani locali e stampa nazionale: è dedicato a loro un articolo sulla rivista "What's Up".

La Out Cinema decide di girare il loro primo videoclip, “Paralyze”.

Varie emittenti radiofoniche li hanno intervistati e hanno trasmesso la loro musica: Radio Manbassa, Radio Studio A (Pescara), che li promuove per una settimana insieme ad altri 40 network locali, M.I.N.I. Radio Web (Roma), Radio TV Elle, Radio Flo, Radio Studio Smile, Radio Libera Tutti, ecc..

Vengono selezionati come protagonisti della rubrica "Rock With Mascara", condotta da Giuly Witch e Lady Marty (VJ del programma Morning Glory di Rock TV) delle Roipnol Witch, sia sulle frequenze della storica Radio Lupo Solitario (interland milanese) che su quelle di K-Rock Radio (Reggio Emilia-Modena-Parma).

Il sito Musicspacetv li sceglie come gruppo "Goccia" del marzo 2009 e li promuove nella sezione "Out Now".

A giugno esce "SYMBIOTIC TRIP", l'album autoprodotto.

Durante l'estate vengono selezionati per esibirsi durante notevoli manifestazioni, quali la Notte Bianca della Città di Lecce e il Go Down Records Festival, organizzato dall'omonima etichetta.

A ottobre 2009 firmano un contratto di distribuzione con l'etichetta romana M. A. Production. Il loro CD "Symbiotic Trip" è ora reperibile presso importanti eventi nazionali ed esteri (Germania, Norvegia, Grecia, Tunisia...)

Nelle loro performance live gli Shotgun Babies si distinguono per groove, impatto vocale ed eclettismo, il loro sound parte da un background prevalentemente grunge e si evolve in forme alternative e psichedeliche, dolci, ma cariche di rabbia, venate da atmosfere dark e vagamente ossessive.

Shotgun Babies are born in spring 2007 as a female band, but in march 2008 they get their definitive 2 girls+2 guys line-up.

They proudly play their own songs and in an intense year of lives they collect a lot of gigs, with apulian and non-apulian bands (Assalti Frontali, OJM, Ultravixen, Kyuuri).

They're just few months old when they record "Destroy Your Beauty", particularly appreciated on web by american users.

In september 2008 they win Rock Bad Girlz contest.

In april 2009 the american label 272 Records (Club Fiend agency, Hollywood) wants them to take part to “Riot On Sunset Vol. 16” compilation, diffused to 25 U.S.A. college radio stations (in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, Las Vegas, New York City and surrounding areas) and sold in the hottest rock shops in Hollywood.

Press about them: not only local newspapers but also national ones, like "What's Up", an italian magazine.

Out Cinema decides to realize their first videoclip, "Paralyze".

They collect many interviews and their songs are on several radio stations such as Radio Manbassa, Radio Studio A (Pescara) with 40 other local networks, M.I.N.I. Radio Web (Rome), Radio TV Elle, Radio Flo, Radio Studio Smile, Radio Libera Tutti, and so on.

They're selected twice for "Rock With Mascara" transmission (with Giuly Witch and Lady Marty of Roipnol Witch as speakers) on Radio Lupo Solitario (Milan interland) and later on on K-Rock Radio (Reggio Emilia-Modena-Parma).

In march 2009 Musicspacetv's site selects the band as "Goccia" of the month and puts them in "Out Now" section.

In june is ready "SYMBIOTIC TRIP", their self-produced album.

In summer they're selected to perform during remarkable shows, such as the well known Notte Bianca (nocturne festival extended to the whole area of Lecce) and Go Down Records Festival, organized by the same label.

In october 2009 Shotgun Babies got signed to M. A. Production label (Rome). Their CD "Symbiotic Trip" is available during important events in Italy and in some foreign countries (Germany, Norway, Greece, Tunisia...)

In their performances Shotgun Babies highlight groove, vocal impact, eclecticism, their sound takes its form from a grunge background and it evolves in psychedelic alternative shapes, sweet, but full of rage, with dark obsessive atmospheres.
