About me:

Hello, My name is Sheryl. I have a bachelors degree from Belhaven University (formerly Belhaven College) where I studied photography. I'm goofy, loving, outgoing, passionate, nutty at times, a fast talker, can change subjects about 10 times in 5 minutes, full of personality, a true kid at heart, love to dance, love to dream, love to think, love to be outside when it storms, an individual, an artist, head over heels for my husband, christian, and try to just be fun & entertaining. Photography is my drug, art is my passion, and music is what drives me. I can put my ear phones in and wonder off into my own world.

I have been doing my own work since January 2004. I do not want to be labeled as doing a particular style of photography. I am available to go anywhere for any wedding or portrait session, including destination weddings(i.e. my passport is current & so is my husbands)! I am working on expanding my abilities and would love to try any idea you have. I am also offering graphic design services! I also do portraits, boudoir, children, maternity, etc. Art is endless, and I do not want to limit myself.

I found my interest in photography when I was about 10. My mom handed me a camera, and I have been shooting ever since. I studied it throughout high school and decided at 18 that I wanted to be a photographer. So here I am, over 5 years later at 24, following my heart, my passion, and my love of photography! Photography is not just my career but my true passion, my art, & my life! One thing I have learned in life is that you have to love what you do, and I love photography! There's not a day that goes by that I don't pick up my camera. My camera is part of me.

I love being outside when it's storming. I like to feel the rain on my skin and the wind in my hair. You can call me crazy but I LOVE to chase storms. Every time it storms you can find me outside somewhere. I also love to lock myself in a dark room and spend hours printing and developing. It's relaxing and fun to me. I do use digital for most my work but I still have a true love for film. Nothing compares to a true black and white hand printed photo. The world is God's art work, and I am in love with it!
