   Showcase's Blurbs
About me:
Hi there, Showcase films is a production company composed of three members who embrace conveying a story through film. These members are Henry Ward, Oscar Ward and Andy Burns. On this page you will find little nibbles and appetizers for our previous and current projects. Be sure to have a taste of these nibbles to get a sense of our visual style.

Showcase Films experiments with an array of various subject matters. This leads to a widespread experimentation of storytelling. Our previous works have ranged from genres such as avant-garde to thriller, though the majority of our films are frequently inspired by the works of creative geniuses.

Showcase Films began in the early stages of 2005, during work on the film 'Rogue Samurai'. However, the three members have embraced the art of film since meeting in primary school. We look upon our past works as stepping stones to a better understanding of film. As a result, recent films such as Evergreen, The Key and Motives, have shown our development as being beneficial over the years. Showcase Films have also collaborated with film makers Mike Dunne and Andrew Mckenzie over its two year existence to produce films such as 'Confined' and our recent exciting project 'Blackout'.

Our current projects will be updated regularly. The film we have been working on most recently is titled 'Blackout'. Like all of other works, Blackout is distinguishable from the rest. We feel it is our most professional short film we have produced to date. Its release into the wild is anticipated.

Thanks for your sampling of our buffet of visual treats and trinkets. We hope they tickle your tastebuds, which entices you to binge on these treats.

Andy, Oscar, Henry

Sorry, my comment for Mr Ward wouldn't fit in the box, so I'm putting it here.

Firstly, what else can i say that hasn't already been said. Fantastic work dudes, and you're not hearing that from people just because they know you either. Some great amateur filmmaking by anyone's standards.

I dunno how you did it, but even with 3 directors, you still managed to maintain one unique vision and feel throughout it. Maybe you should try and stick to the 3 director formula, seems to work.

Couple questions: 1. What did you use to hold the camera for the fixed shot of Andy's face on the swing while it was swinging, and 2. Who played the adults at the end? They seemed really genuine.

If you guys want to keep this up, you should seriously consider coming and doing the Film & Television course at Curtin Uni. I'm doing it at the moment and it's awesome.

Hey,
Have just watched The Key. I must say it's my favourite yet! There was some excellent cinematography and it had a really intriguing plotline.
I take my hat off to you all!

No worries bro- I certainly did enjoy it. It always astounds me how imaginative you guys are with a very minimal cast and effects used very sparingly- your films' strengths are their great ideas and concepts, creative filming techniques and good acting.

By the way- I left two tennis racquets at your house in case you were wondering what the hell they were doing there, sorry about that. If you threw them out it doesnt matter, I found them on the verge pickup anyway. haha

GOOD NEWS PEASENTS!! i have found a script for you to turn in a movie, its entited 'Bluff' and is 92 pages in length. its a gripping story about a serial killer, killing people that have a direct relation to a deck of playing cards eg a guy that had 2 diamond studs in his ear is the 2 of diamonds etc. i read it and thought it was pretty good, im going to give it to andy to see if i get his approval, if so... i want to make it (or as they say in fancy movie talk 'Produce it') haha and employ your magical movie making skills. so ill give andy a copy and then on our arraival back to perth he can pass one onto the other 2 thirds of the opperation.. so yes. thats all i personally have to report, hope holidays are going well cant wait to see the final copy of 'the emerging triats of Mr Ward'
peace out

haha no im still slighly sane, if that is at all possible spending as much time with burnerdette as i do. but i have pretty much seen the before and after in showcase films, and the latter of your films are much better. i personally have an idea that burns cruelly shot down one economics lesson so i think ill stick to acting

well burns (in sorry wards brothers we have never met) i would have to say that i hav been the one fortunate enough to view your entire 'showcase' (no pun intended) of films i would have to say im your toughest critic... except of course for felix and his err rats? but i have to compliment the writer behind blackout, its a tremendous script i atchually was midly scared in the stick-it note scene and i was just READING it. anyways fellas, its late and p+l wont write itself but keep on keeping on and i hope i get past the drug screening stage of auditions
