Music
I like something in every genre. Yes. EVERY genre. I like a lot of "classical" music, in the broad sense, mostly Baroque stuff, thouhg, and even some operas. I like a lot of rap (even some of the thugish stuff, and some of the southern krunk stuff, but mostly abstract stuff from NYC and the Yay Area.) I like country (old and new,) though I don't dig a lot of the politics around country (absurdly nationalistic crap.) I dig a lot of rock: indie, punk, goth, classic, metal. I like American roots music like jazz, blues, bluegrass, and folk. I dig anything Jamaiccan, no, actually, anything carribean. I like goofy teeny bopper pop. I like world music, whatever that is. I like dance music, and dancing till four a.m. is awesome. I like techno, electro, disco, house, jungle, trance, and any other subgenre of dance. I like electronic stuff: industrial, dance (see above), ambient, experimental, noise, etc.
I'm really a musical xenophile, so the six months I spent working at a record store I was completely broke. C'est la vie!

About Me:
..
I'm obsessed with the potential of new media and technology. By day I make computers work "properly". By night I strive to coax the unexpected from them.
I'm married to the stunning Carmelita Nunez. We both make art. She's a potter, and I do... well... I do a lot of different things. We call our studio Kung Fu Chicken. We're part of a collective of local artists called Independent Art Market.
This is my new favorite video/song. Indie pop-rock mixed with electronic dance music and high energy fun. It can't be beat

At the Schlafly Tap Room (21st and Locust) on Tuesday, April 15 at 8 PM Veterans for Peace will present a free showing of the documentary, "War on Democracy".
America likes to talk about "spreading democracy", but in his latest film John Pilger argues that the US is actually stifling its progress. The War on Democracy shows that the principles of democracy can be found more readily among the poorest people of Latin America than anywhere near the corridors of the White House. It features an exclusive interview with Hugo Chávez and Pilger also speaks to former US government officials who claim the CIA waged covert wars in Latin America. Through this film, Pilger conveys his central belief in the enduring power of the people.
Australian journalist John Pilger exposes the hypocrisy of a nation that purports to be a shining beacon of democracy. His new film ‘The War on Democracy’ features exclusive interviews with Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez, ex US government officials and the head of the CIA in Latin America. ‘The War on Democracy’ is Pilger’s first film for cinema. It follows more than 55 documentary films for television, which began with ‘The Quiet Mutiny’, set in Vietnam. Most of his films have told stories of people's struggles against rapacious power and of attempts to subvert and control our historical memory. John Pilger, renowned investigative journalist and documentary film-maker, is one of only two to have twice won British journalism's top award; his documentaries have won academy awards in both the UK and the US. In a New Statesman survey of the 50 heroes of our time, Pilger came fourth behind Aung San Suu Kyi and Nelson Mandela. "John Pilger," wrote Harold Pinter, "unearths, with steel
