The music you hear on this site was made by a band of the north country* we called "shpiel," a name suggested by our guitarist, quaker, middle school science teacher & loving father daniel caldwell who is not jewish and uses the yiddish word 'shpiel' (to play, with or on or tunes) without a shredibble of irony. A good band it was that broke up for reasons purely geographical, so the music on this site is all that will ever be. download away, and when you're aching for more go on & buy the rest of the album. Other cats featured on these tracks include: phil neisser (drums), terrence williams (bass), & kate caldwell (vox). gregory warner wrote the tunes and plays accordion and sings.

good question...i would pick a choice few (that is up to 15 if necessary) and keep them, only if you already have storage...don't know if the monthly rent would be worth a few cassette tapes in a box on the floor!...nice memoir, thanks for sharing.
diggin' taxis and a cool breeze...full moon, yes, in scorpio (oh no!...actually may be a saving grace for those who have been willing to bravely go down under) xoxo
