A time bomb of musical energy from Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, Pink Floyd, Reef, Frank Zappa, Van Halen, Gary Moore, Motorhead, Metalica, Alice Cooper, Jimi Hendrix and a whole bunch of other 'sound' influences that are just too many to mention here.
Darren made the ultimate sacrifice and disappointed thousands of adoring female fans on Saturday 29th March by marrying his fiancée Kelly. The ceremony was in true ‘SHRED’ style in a gothic building that would have made even Gene Simmons feel at home, string quartet playing rock tributes, a table layout in the style of a Marshall Amp, electric guitar signed by the guests, the ‘first dance’ song by the ‘Prince of Darkness’ Ozzy, a rock concert courtesy of Driving Force and to top it all off guest performances from SHRED (wearing suits!!??)……..Pictures soon to follow.

SHRED BANNER MAKES 1st APPEARENCE
Rehearsal at The Moon Rakers provided the opportune occasion to dress rehearse SHRED’S new and awesome banner. It’s first public appearance will be seen at the Windmill gig on the 25th April (see gig list for more details)
Formed in 1993, the band launched out on its first gig on 1st May 1993 and was seen as a ’band with a difference’, the difference being the guitar talent that the town had never seen before. The band has become increasingly popular on the pub & club circuit playing covers and original songs. Having appointed a manager, recorded an EP of original songs, they now intend to make a serious impact on the music world. 20th JUNE, IT'S ANITA'S BIRTHDAY ROCK OUT!!!!!! At Riff's Bar Shred have been invited to play at Anita's (Shred's sound, lighting technician and all round helpful good guy roadie's wife) birthday at Riff's. Also on the bill are Gary's band Ode and The Be Bops. If you have not seen them before GET TO SEE THEM! They are a fun and exciting skiffle band. The best thing about this birthday party gig is that YOU ARE ALSO INVITED!!!!!!!!!!!!
