About me: SHTICKMEN is a mockumentary about the desperate nature of local stand up comedy that will leave you asking the question, “Am I laughing at them or with them?” Jerry Martin (Dean Lewis) is a small time comedian who teaches comedy classes and defensive driving to pay his bills. Enter mediocre documentary filmmaker Johnny Crass, whose latest project will focus on Jerry and his comedic universe. Through Crass’ lens we meet the members of Jerry’s new comedy class. It is Jerry’s job to mold these folks into comedic shape in time for their showcase. Simultaneously, a comedy contest is to be held at the local comedy club. Jerry learns that his arch nemesis, Jim “Buckeye” Marvin (David Wilk), who is infamous for stealing material, will be a judge on the panel.
