INTERVIEW BY MUSCLE AND FITNESS MAGAZINE
What's your take on living in Oakland?
Yeah, I am feelin' the bay vibe and it meshes like fancy tights. I'm sort of from hell, I used to live there anyway, the rent was cheaper than here. I play basketball on the same team as Kobe beef. You know what a vegan diet does for you is fixes your innards up for the grill. All I know is, if you don't know, go back to school. Some times I press a button on my phone, it turns on philip glass's pace maker and he gets up and makes a sandwich. That's what I call a classical chain reaction.
How do you percieve punk rock in its relationship to the current economic state and class struggle?
Hardcore is party music, unless you are beating up the audience. I'm cool with that. My version of hardcore is of the party variety, I want all of my listeners to drink beer, try to get laid, and blow it. I would advise musicians to understand that you are either/or, the worst is fools that come off like they want to beat up the audience but can't, or are playing at beating up the audience when they are looking like a bunch of angry birthday clowns, ya feel me? That's why I would advise all hardcore bands who want to beat up the audience to drink MUSCLE MILK TM, available at the nearest GNC, full of B Vitamins and electrolytes. I personally use it to fertilize my spice garden, but you never know.
What do you think is the most challenging thing about being in a band by yourself?
Usually other bands on the same bill can't stand me. The reason is, sometimes it takes three or more people to sound twice as gay as I do.
