HERE IS WHAT FOLKS ARE SAYING ABOUT your friends--SHURMAN!!

-- Mike Campbell (long time Tom Petty guitarist)
"This is an awesomely funky record -- warm and soulful"
-- Jon Popper of Blues Traveler
"shurman has been paying their dues on the road for quite some time. Now it's time for the world to get to hear and enjoy them on record. It'll grow on you quick!"
-- Jim Lauderdale
"shurman has done as much to revitalize the world of rock and roll as it has for music in general"
-- LA Weekly
"Skillfully walking the line where the worlds of country and alternative rock intersect"
-- Campus Circle
"I'm telling you, I defy anyone not to love this band."
-- New Times
"Depending on who you ask , LA band shurman is either the next Old 97s, Drive-By Truckers, or Son Volt. Maybe all three given quartet's glossy pop melodies & southern rock twang..."
-- No Depression Magazine
"Working in an established musical milieu requires an artist to walk a fine line between redundancy and self-conscious novelty--shurman accomplishes this feat with style!"
-- Vintage Guitar magazine June 2006
"Jubilee," recorded live in the studio, captures the passion and energy of a shurman show and the band's trademark crunchy heartland rock -n- roll mixed with country twang"
-- Get Out Magazine (AZ entertainment)
"shurman's just the sort of band radio loves, though they haven't made it onto your dial much just yet. Still, for upbeat infectious rock-pop with a strong country undercurrent (there's some lap steel in these tracks that adds just the right touch when"
-- rockzilla.net
"The band can crank when it wants to, and the back-to-back tracks "So Happy" and "I Got You (Part 3)" represent power pop at its finest. (3 1/2 of 4 stars)"
-- Chicago Sun-Times
"The Los Angeles-based roots - rock band Shurman sway back and forth across the Americana median, tethered to the rail by wood and wire. That of the electric guitar, of course. From the blistering rock opener "Drownin'" to its smoldering country successor"
-- Miles of Music
"Shurman, a band that resides in Los Angeles, is tied to Arizona via singer/songwriter Aaron Beavers. The band's style of music is a combination of "the energy of alternative rock with the sensibility of alternative country.""

Sounds Like
a band that has been on the road and loves playin' the kinda music they grew up listenin' to...
You can attach many handles to Shurman's music...country rock, cowpunk, rock-n-roll, alt-country, Americana, but none of them really nails the bands sound.
The hard-touring Los Angeles quartet played close to 1,000 shows from 2004-2008, headlining clubs and opening for such diverse acts as Blues Traveler, Ziggy Marley, Lucinda Williams, Los Lobos, Cross Canadian Ragweed, the Jayhawks, Ted Nugent, Roger Clyne & the Peacemakers, Bob Schneider, the Drive-By Truckers, Los Lonely Boys and Sammy Hagar. Obviously, they've forged a sound that refuses to be pigeonholed. Aaron Beavers, shurmans lead singer, guitarist and songwriter, notes, "We just go out and say, This is what we do."
The band self-released it's third CD, Waiting for the Sunset, in 2008 to rave reviews in the US, UK and in Europe. Shurman just returned from their first 50-date UK/European Tour and are touring the US like a band with a mission. The band has steadily developed a dedicated following through their sweat-drenched live performances, memorable lyrics, and heartfelt delivery-Here's to Rock-N-Roll!!
Congratulations on the Sustain / Universal record deal guys! Your 109 degree outdoor show with ArcAngels must have been practice for your upcoming Tempe show -ha! Too bad I've lost my excuse to visit Arizona on a whim.

I know that many artists from North America don't have their music videos uploaded to German video websites. The most popular websites are MyVideo.de and ClipFish.de. That means your European audience does not have the chance to find them.
I understand that most of you don't speak German and are not able to upload videos because of the language barrier. If you would like me to upload your videos to the German video websites, please let me know.
Thanks
