SIAMBOK fanden Anfang 2002 zueinander, als Gitarrist Philipp Geigis und Sänger/Gitarrist Julian Schädler ihren akustischen Balladen nichts mehr abgewinnen konnten und für eine rockigere Zukunft Claus-Peter Bensch am Bass und Holger Hechtle an den Drums ins Boot holten. Der Silverchair-lastige Grunge-Sound der ersten beiden Band-Jahre entwickelte sich stetig weiter, wurde dynamischer, anspruchsvoller, verspielter und komplizierter. Heute ist davon kaum etwas geblieben - Siambok stehen seit ihrem kürzlich mit großartiger Resonanz bedachten Comeback nach einjähriger Bühnenpause für progressive Rockmusik, die eingängige Melodien und Riffs mit komplexen Rhythmen und elektronischen Elementen in Einklang bringt und ganz bewusst aus Schubladen ausbricht. .. .... When four people with different tastes in music try and find a compromise as to what kind of music they are going to play together, the outcome is not necessarily a good one. "Siambok", however, have long outgrown the struggle to let every member's taste influence their own style. Since their acclaimed comeback in fall 2007 one thing has become clear: "Siambok" have found their way not in compromise, but in the invention of a genre that could best be described as "progressive electro-grunge". .. .. ........ .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. ............
