About me:
I use myspace primarily to share abstract writing and poetry.
I began writing in the mid-1990's, and wrote a number of plays and sketches for theatre companies around the UK.
I now write mainly poetry, figurative short pieces and "micro-stories", just for fun, which I blog here on myspace.
I consider myself a lucky man.
For lucky is the man whose universe is small,
Who is loved by a few and given grace by many.
Lucky is the man who faces adversity, yet lives to see another day,
Who fights himself beyond all capacity, and learns to breathe the air of victory.
Lucky is the man who meets his own mortality, as it casually wanders into the room and slaps him in the face.
Lucky is the man whose life is built on the firmest of foundations, yet who struggles to identify himself and fathom his origins.
Lucky is the man whose heart is broken, whose wounds bleed pain more agonising than the cut of a surgeon's scalpel or the birth of a child who never existed.
It is a lucky man, who is betrayed by his lover, and finds no peace or the truth as he searches for rest in knowing that he was right.
It is a lucky man who is ignored by people he once cared about, who strides out into the wilderness of not knowing what his future holds, whilst being blinded by his mistakes of the past.
It is a lucky man who loses his faith, who is scared of death and what lies beyond it, as he tries desperately to find absolute truth in an impossible world of brittle and broken hearts and minds.
It is a lucky man who loses the super glue that will mend his broken heart, who misplaces the most important facets of his life, like a man without a compass in the middle of a desert.
It is a lucky man who loses his home, who wanders through streets in the dark, waiting to find love that deserted him many years before.
In all of these things, it is the lucky man who recognises the most important things in life. Who wakes up one day, surrounded by more love and spiritual wealth that he ever thought possible. Who is loved beyond all capacity and stronger than he ever imagined. And in all of these things, this man is not lucky, for as he wanders and wrestles and fights and struggles, and loves and learns and laughs and cries, this man accepts that he is most unlucky. But in all things, this man could not be more blessed.
Who I'd like to meet:
writers / poets / artists / musicians / kind and genuine people / people who enjoy creativity and wonder about it's source.

Dear Si, I know that your country does not celebrate Thanksgiving as a national holiday, but here is a tad of American history, and I would just like to say that I thank God for your presence in my life. :)

MURDERS IN THE RUE MORGUE, ©Berni Wrightson, Illustration, 1976
“If now, in addition to all these things, you have properly reflected upon the odd disorder of the chamber, we have gone so far as to combine the ideas of a strength superhuman, an agility astounding, a ferocity brutal, a butchery without motive, a grotes-querie in horror absolutely alien from humanity, and a voice foreign in tone to the ears of many nations, and devoid of all distinct or intelligible syllabification. What result, then has ensued? What impression have I made upon your fancy?”
I shuddered as Dupin asked me the question. “A madman,” I said, “has done this deed—some raving maniac, escaped from a neighboring Maison de Santé.”
THE MURDERS IN THE RUE MORGUE —Edgar Allan Poe

Si, dear Si, your poem is finally posted on my page. Sorry it took longer than I had planned...my page is not quite complete yet...a few other poets' poems and my own will take a while longer. As for the art I paired with yours-- I WISH I could do that. Slack was asking $1600 for it in 2007. =p
