Sick Porky en Espanol
Con casi diez años peleándola desde el under, hoy Sick Porky se encuentra presentando de manera oficial Ancestral, primer larga duración editado por el sello Zonda Records, disco que recaba parte del material compuesto durante estos primeros años de carrera. La enorme cantidad de presentaciones en vivo, algunas de ellas junto a bandas consagradas de la escena local como Pez, Los Natas, Carajo, Satan Dealers y La Cruda, hizo que la banda genere un merecido espacio en los escenarios porteños ganando fieles, la gran mayoría curiosos que atraídos por el boca a boca sucumbieron ante el sonido puerco.
En el proceso de solidificación de la banda mucho tuvieron que ver los dos EPs editados durante el período 2001-2003, material que gozó de una pequeña (aunque importante) difusión en algunos de los medios locales más prestigiosos como la FM Rock & Pop, y también en diversas estaciones radiales de Internet/podcasting de alcance mundial (Holanda, Reino Unido, Estados Unidos, entre otros países). El primer EP fue producido por el tándem Gaby Ruiz Díaz/ Macabre de Catupecu Machu, mientras que la producción del segundo estuvo a cargo de Agustín Rocino (Cuentos Borgeanos), también elegido como productor de Ancestral.
Otro factor decisivo para la marcha de la banda fueron las participaciones en diversos compilados de alcance internacional como Listen without distraction, tributo argentino a la banda stoner de culto Kyuss, y Loco Gringos Have a Party: Southamerican stoner rock junto a los ya nombrados Natas, y otras bandas de la talla de Buffalo (Argentina), Yajaira (Chile) y Reino Ermitaño (Perú).
Los planes mas cercanos de la banda para lo que resta del año y principios del 2007, se basarán en seguir presentando el disco a lo largo y ancho del país, con posibilidad de hacerlo también en países vecinos (estuvieron girando por Chile durante Abril). With almost ten years fighting from the underworld of music, Sick Porky is now officially presenting the launch of its first album Ancestral. Edited by the label Zonda Records, this album compiles part of the work of these first years of career. The large number of live presentations, in some of which they shared stage with well-known Argentine bands such as Pez, Los Natas, Carajo, Satan Dealers and La Cruda, has given the band the deserved respect in Buenos Aires music arena. The bands fans continue to multiplicate, most of them curiously attracted by the talk of town succumb to the pork sound.
The two EPs edited during 2001-2003 a lot had to do with the musical growth of the band. This material had little (though important) diffusion in some of the most prestigious local media such as FM Rock & Pop and several Internet/podcasting radio stations heard worldwide (Netherlands, United Kingdom, United States, and several other countries). The first EP was produced by the tandem Gaby Ruiz Díaz/ Macabre from Catupecu Machu, whereas the production of the second EP was done by Agustín Rocino (Cuentos Borgeanos), who also was chosen as producer of Ancestral.
Another determining factor for the course of the band were the several participations in compilations of international reach like Listen without distraction, an Argentinean tribute to the stoner cult band Kyuss and Loco Gringos Have a Party: Southamerican stoner rock in which they performed altogether with Natas and other bands such as Buffalo (Argentina), Yajaira (Chile) and Reino Ermitaño (Perú).
