Sic(k)reation - Death/Thrash Metal from Leipzig (Germany)

SIC(K)REATION stands for powerful and catchy Metal mostly build from Death and Thrash elements. The music is straight, with a lot of groove, but always varied, with every song having its own character. The lyrics (written in English and in German) are dealing with the dark sides of human existence like murder, insanity and war. Playing heavy music und having fun with it - that's everything the band is about.

The first members came together in late 2003, but the final (and until now still constant) line-up was completed about one year later and named itself SIC(K)REATION (a combination of ‘sick’ and ‘creation’) in early 2005. Since then the band shared the stage – among others – with God Dethroned (NL), Fleshless (CZ), Requiem (CH), The Final Harvest (FIN), Red Front (BRA), Totenmond, Moshquito, Defloration, Philosopher, The Atmosfear, Mimosis and Antyra.

In early 2007 the first recording – a full-length album called "Born Into A Nightmare" with a running time of about 50 minutes – was done. Some of the album’s songs were used in 2008 for the soundtrack of the filmlet “B96” (a production of the Hochschule für Film und Fernsehen Potsdam). Five years later SIC(K)REATION sounds more extreme and versatile, more melodic and even heavier. This sound is paraphrased by the slogan “Brutal Killing / Epic Dying” – which is also the title of the new six-track-EP of the band, released in December 2012. With the new material, the band is even hungrier for what they love most: Playing live and feeding the crowds with what they really need – heavy fucking metal.
