SICK TO DEATH LIVE PERFORMANCES
We are incredibly passionate about forming live and appreciate every opportunity that we have to portray our concerns about the world. During our live performances we try to highlight various issues relating to fundamental rights and the problems that the global population faces. These issues include poverty, discrimination, oppression, ecology, animal rights and war. We also have a passion for including popular protest culture chants in some of our songs, a form of expression which is well suited for the live show environment. While it’s always really great to have the support of the audience, we do hope that people are genuinely inspired by our live performances.
Videos of our recent live shows are mostly recorded by Rik, whose hard work and dedication is always appreciated. His youtube profile name is ‘RADioactiverik’. Thankx Bro … You Are A Star! Here are some videos by Rik below:
This video is of ‘Anti-War’ and contains the chant ‘Fight War Not Wars!’
This video is of ‘F*ck You Fascists’ and contains the chant ‘No Borders No Nations / Stop Deportation!’ This song is followed by ‘New Religion’.
This video is of ‘Smash The State’ and contains the chant ‘Smash The State!’ This song is followed by ‘Behind Enemy Lines’.
‘Sick To Death’ is a 4 Piece band form London, who combine Politically and Socially Charged lyrics with Hard-Edge music styles with the aim of reflecting ‘The General State Of Society’. Although each of us has our own political interests, as a collective we are not part of or aligned with any particular group or ideology. Instead, as Sick To Death, we identify with the general frustrations in the world relating to the direction that human society has and continues to take. In this sense we are people, nothing more and nothing less … and while people in general may not always agree on what exactly is wrong with the world today, we can at least agree that there is something wrong with being silenced, with being intimidated, with being contained, with not being able to be vocal now about what directly affects our world tomorrow … .
Sick of the hatred,
Sick of the lies,
Sick of this world,
Sick to death.

SICK TO DEATH’S ‘WHAT'S UP NOW!’
2009 G20 Summit
At the beginning of April 2009, London was 'graced' by the G20 leaders and certain international institution leaders, who took some time out of their incredibly 'busy' schedules to discuss how to tackle the current global economic recession. The meeting of these leaders sparked a reaction between the 28 March 2009 and the 2 of April 2009, from people deeply concerned about unemployment, poverty and climate change. And it goes without saying that the police had a strategy …
Although there were various protests, demonstrations and actions around London between the 28 March 2009 and the 2 April 2009, particular attention has been given by the various media groups to the ‘Four Horseman’ protests at the Bank of England on the 1 April 2009. A significant level of controversy has erupted over the attack on the RBS office by a handful of protesters and the subsequent violent response towards the wider protest group that was taken by the police.
For many of us that are part of the wider protest culture, police brutality and their ‘kettling’ strategy are common place. But this time the approach by the police has left a man dead, resulting in various questions being raised. However, one of the most valid questions not getting enough attention is why was the RBS building not boarded up? With all the focus surrounding the boarding up of businesses in the protest area at the Bank of England, the RBS building was left stark naked.
And there is another big question is, was it all worth it? Did those attending the G20 summit take the concerned voices into account when they held the discussions on the 2 April 2009? More to the point, what did the G20 leaders decide at the 2009 summit? Generally speaking their plan is to stimulate growth in the G20 countries by increasing the Free Trade model and cooperating on regulations applying to financial institutions. The idea is that an increase in prosperity in the G20 countries will benefit the rest of the world’s countries through a trickle-down process.
And how do the G20 leaders hope to achieve this? Well, if their plan does work, they will commit to providing the IMF with the financial resources to alleviate poverty throughout the world … yes, that’s correct, the IMF ... the same IMF that administers conditional assistance to developing and least-developed countries, conditions that have a track record of destroying local industries and securing control of these country’s recourses by global corporations!
