I found this tiny angel at a coffee house in New Orleans on Nov. 11, 2006 (at the bottom of Esplanade, just south of the fire house).

If you can use an injection of joie de vivre, watch this clip of my 16-year-old friend Max swing-dancing with his friend Eve at a costume party on New Year's Eve - they're great!
About me: This is the MySpace site for and about the new translation of Hesse's great novel Siddhartha published in 2006 by Modern Library with an introduction by Tom Robbins. Translator Susan Bernofsky will be blogging about the book and the translation, and will answer reader questions.
Who I'd like to meet: Readers, bloggers, the inquisitive, folks searching for Nirvana, folks who've found it, and anyone who likes to puzzle about language.
I have been away for a bit but never forget a friend! I hope all is well with you and have a great week with renewed determination to continue following your dreams and achieving your goals and purpose! ~Robear ====================================================== “Keep your dreams alive. Understand to achieve anything requires faith and belief in yourself, vision, hard work, determination, and dedication. Remember all things are possible for those who believe.” - Gail Devers
“Little by little one walks far” -Peruvian Proverb
All conditioned things are impermanent. Work out your own salvation with diligence....The Buddha's last words.
Be soft in your practice. Think of the method as a fine silvery stream, not a raging waterfall. Follow the stream, have faith in its course. It will go its own way, meandering here, trickling there. It will find the grooves, the cracks, the crevices. Just follow it. Never let it out of your sight. It will take you....Sheng-yen.
Have an enjoyable Wednesday and remainder of the week!
“We're sitting on our blessed Mother Earth from which we get our strength and determination, love and humility - all the beautiful attributes that we've been given. So turn to one another; love one another; respect one another; respect Mother Earth; respect the waters - because that's life itself!”
I hope you have a wonderful Wednesday as well as the remainder of the week. Here is a bit of wisdom I read today and wanted to share. Best wishes to you always!
I am sending a wish, that the coming year bring bright sunshine and restful moonlight. That you and those you love may walk on the ground in your bare feet, and be rejuvenated. With the new year, comes new insight, and with each passing day a blessing of love and kindness remain constant. I am wishing happiness for you, not just on the forth coming New Year's Day, but throughout 2009. Remember that it is day by day, that we live and move forward, not year by year
