Music
is probably the most important thing I have in my life. Concerts, CD's,
& my MP3's are what keep me going a lot of the time.
I
have had thousands of CD's over the years as my tastes and bank account have
kept them in and out of my collection. I have about 600 actual CD's right
now. I have more than 40,000 MP3's on my computer. Nearly all of
them have been copied from CD's I've borrowed from friends and the public
library (back when they let me check them out!)
I've
been to a few hundred concerts since 1989 when I went to my very first show. (Aerosmith
w/ Joan Jett on the Pump tour!) I've been to a lot of all day festivals
and a couple of multi-day shows. In 2005 I saw Will
Hoge (4X), Motley Crue, Slunt
(2X), Todd Snider, GWAR,
and a few others I can't remember right now. 2006 has ended up being one of the best years ever for concerts. I’ve seen Will Hoge 4 times already and have at least 2 more lined up before the end of the year! I’ve seen 311 twice (Atlanta rocked! Chicago Sucked!) I saw both Slunt & Kaki King in August (Both Amazing Shows!) Through the end of the year I have so many shows already lined up, that I’m going to be exhausted by Christmas. I have Rose Hill Drive, Gnarls Barkley, Alice in Chains, John Mayer, Will Hoge (at least 2 more times!), KMFDM, Todd Snider, GUNS N’ ROSES (well… the Axl Rose Band anyway), & GWAR… all before the end of the year! Unless Peeping Tom comes somewhere close that will probably be all I see this year… but then again, you never know!
My
tastes are very eclectic when it comes to music. I listen to everything
from opera to heavy metal. Some of my all time favorites are:
An
interesting tidbit of music trivia about me... The week I was born (November 10,
1974) Bachman-Turner Overdrive's "You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet" was No.
1 in the US... I've taken that as a sign and have set my goals very high.
I'm
also a fountain of wealth when it comes to knowing useless music trivia. I
would rule at the shows like Distraction, Beat the Geeks, & VH1's Rock &
Roll Jeopardy. Go ahead... ask me anything!
Movies
I'm not really into the big Hollywood films. I tend to like documentaries and indie films the best. I do like mainstream movies if they have a good story, but it's just so rare recently that I just don't even pay attention to them anymore. I've just go see all my movies at the
Landmark Midtown Arts
Theater.... they show all my favorite movies.
Here's some of my favorite movies...

somewhere!)
LAW & ORDER!!! Greatest showEVER!! Besides that, I don't watch a lot of TV. When I do, it's usually just on in the background. I do like Scrubs, MythBusters, Dirty Jobs, The Daily Show, and most anything on the Discovery Channel, The History Channel, and Comedy Central.
Books
I've read every John Grisham book, so I guess he's my favorite. Besides the Grisham books, I don't really read many fiction books. I like biographies and books about history. I also have a special place in my heart for books about pro wrestling, I’ve read dozens of them over the years. I find the stories and the history about what you don't see on TV fascinating. I also enjoyed Morgan Spurlock’s book, Don't Eat This Book: Fast Food and the Supersizing of America as a companion to his movie Super Size Me.
Fierce and courageous - you are the king of every
situation.
You pounce and attack, until others give you want you want.
Daring and magnetic, you inspire others to follow your lead.
And while you're wild at heart, you have some hidden soft spots.
For the kind of networking and activism I am trying to achieve, it is in no way helpful. And, it is still lacking in creativity. I just get bored to tell you the truth. Thanks again for my donation! xoxoxo.
