Although we are constantly influenced and love a broad variety of music some of our influences include:New Edition, Destiny's Child, TLC, Nsync, Michael Jackson, Beyonce, Justin Timberlake, Usher, Jennifer Lopez, Aaliyah, Prince, John Legend, Alicia Keys, Patti Labelle, Stevie Wonder, Ray Charles, Jamie Foxx, Mariah Carey, Luther Vandross, R.Kelly, James Brown.
SideTrack is a unique R&B vocal performance group, made up of three individually talented teenagers who sing, dance and put on an invigorating performance. Lonique, Wyane and Vaugn (Stephen) met as freshmens in the vocal department at Brooklyn High School of the Arts in 2004. After two years of School, they couldn't deny their budding creative energy. They knew they had chemistry and decided to form their own group, known as "SideTrack".
Immediately, they began a rigorous schedule of vocal and dance rehearsals. Lonique, acting as SideTrack's choreographer, put together a routine and two weeks later they were prepared for their first show.
SideTrack has had many performances Atlantic Antic, Village Underground, Comedy Club, Maria Davis Showcase, Sugar Bar; Apollo Theater and New York City Marathon. The boys have focused on charitable organizations because they want to help the less fortunate. With the Brooklyn Blizzards Youth Organization they have entertained at many basketball tournaments, award ceremonies and other events that uplift and inform the youth. Through Volunteers of America and the Fresh Start Program they are touring throughout the tri-state area performing for the homeless and others in need. They were a big part of the Black History Show for Help USA. One of the most rewarding experiences was when they performed at the Incarnated Children Center in Washington Heights, which is a home for children suffering with Aids. The boys also joined the Heights Players Theatre Group and starred in the musical for children "The Old Woman who lived in a Shoe". On February 21, 2008 SideTrack received the Ebony Light of the World award for Community Service thru NYC Department of Parks and Recreation. They have already gained a local fan base. SideTrack is a refreshing act and is always well received by a diverse audience.
The boys write and produce music and are in the studio recording their original music. Through their live performances are getting the exposure and experience they need to meet any opportunity. They are 100% professional and always deliver.
