About me: Well the main thing about me that is pretty obvious is that I love music. I love anything to do with it and it seems to be getting more so all the time. I collect musical instruments just because I love them. Especially stringed instruments. I have a bowed psaltery, fiddle, viola, guitar, old mandolin, and a bodhran which is an Irish frame drum. Some less conventional instruments a didgeridoo and a Tibetan singing bowl. I want more singing bowls. I want/need more guitars. I am majorly addicted to guitars and all the sounds they can make. I play the flute and bowed psaltery. I like smooth jazz But!! It must have saxophone in it though. I am in it for the sax I love the sultry seductive saxophone sounds ;(
I am learning guitar at the moment which is my other favorite thing to do. I have been teaching myself and my friend Diane is helping me with that too. I also am wanting to learn Irish fiddling. I was working on that some till I got my guitar. Now, I am just focusing on my guitar. It's keeping me plent busy enough right now and I am loving focusing on my attention on it right now. My dad was a guitar player as well and so is my brother
I enjoy live music and going to small venues to see bands play. My favorite being McGonigels Mucky Duck in Houston. It's a nice charming little intimate place to see artists perform. I love discovering new little places to see bands. Music is the one of the best ways to meet new people who love music like I do. I love being around musicians and being immersed in their world and watching them play and do what they do. I spend a lot of time going to see live music with my girl friends who are my life line and are like dear sisters to me. Music is a constant with us. I love traveling, and road tripping with these friends. I love cold days sitting around sipping hot tea listening to music or playing my guitar. I love stormy days and nights doing the same. I like to light all the candles in the house while I do house work. I find that soothing and it helps me find housework all relaxing. Whatever gets me through it I figure. ;P I love spending time with friends curled up on a couch watching movies. I love going to movies. I love watching the trailers.
I love Gaelic Song. I love to sing songs in Gaelic. I teach myself songs in Irish and Scottish Gaelic. I studied Irish Gaelic which helped out tremendously to understand the pronunciation and flow of the language. I love languages in general. They are like a music in themselves and espcially so when sung. I love ALL things Celtic but especially the music and languages.
I love stargazing and Astronomy, I love going to airshows I love military aircraft old and new I get that from my dad I guess. He was an airplane mechanic and always took me to air shows, I love reading, I love Photography,I got that from my dad too I guess, he was a photographer. I love taking photos of stuff. My favorite though is photographing musicians. :).
I like gardening in the spring I want to do organic gardening and plant my own vegetables, I love birds and birdwatching, I have a little bird garden I made so I can watch birds out my kitchen window, I love Renaissance Fairs, Celtic Festivals. Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, sci-fi. I want to do Yoga. I want to learn to paint water color. I Like to collect artwork especially Pre-raphaelite art.
I am fascinated by quantum physics/mechanics I love reading and watching shows about that.
And I love lots more.... ;)
