My prsonality is hard to cataglorize, and might best be described as "Crazy-Hippy-Newage-Rennie-Goth." One of my greatest joys is reading, and writing is my first love and my true love. I love Renaissance festivals (in fact worked at the Georgia Ren Fest last year,) as well as all things Celtic (especially Celtic music.) I am fascinated by history and mythology, and I am interested in magick- especially green magick- and the paranormal. I find many aspects of natural science intriguing, and my favorite television channels include Animal Planet and the National Geographic Channel. I enjoy cooking and experimenting with gourmet cuisine. Coffee is my Draught of Life. (Especially if the afore mentioned coffee happens to be a caramel-mocha latte. Mmmmm.... latte.) I enjoy the theater, and volunteer at the New Atlanta Shakespere Tavern. I love nature, especially forests, and still occasionally escape to a nearby wooded creek (shhh!) I have always wanted to learn to play a musical instrument (the harp or fiddle, perhaps,) but I have not yet had the chance.
I have somewhat unusual musical tastes. I adore Celtic Rock (Wolfstone, Off Kilter, Enter the Haggis, Seven Nations, Great Big Sea, The Lost Boys and Gaelic Storm are favorites.) Traditional Celtic music is also a love of mine, as is Classical. (Silly Wizard, Skydance and The Cheiftains are a few of my preferred Trad bands, though honestly if it's Celtic I like it.) Beyond this I enjoy a plethera of musical genres, from Rock to Swing to New Age, as well as some bands which are difficult to assign a genre. Favorite non-Celtic bands and artists include: Rasputina, the Trans-Siberian Orcherstra, Nightwish, Good Charlotte, Mediaeval Baebes, Gorden Lightfoot, Blackmore's Night, Nat King Cole, Gary Stadler, Frank Sinatra, Linkin Park, Cherry Poppin' Daddies, Leaves Eyes, John Denver, Lost Prophets, The Who, Fall Out Boy, Seu Jorge, Saves the Day, the Beatles and many others. I also enjoy a random sampling of songs from others bands, though I am not necessarily a fan of the group. (These include "Wendy" by the Association, "I Predict a Riot" by Kaiser Chiefs, "Gold Lion" by the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, "Second Hand News" by Fleetwood Mac, and "Feuer Frei" by Rammstein.)

Books
Where do I even begin?! I am a huge fan of J. R. R. Tolkiens works, and have read both the Hobbit and the Lord of the Rings far more times than I would like to admit, as well as having read nearly all of the histories. I am becoming an increasingly great fan of Charles de Lint's novels of modern myth and urban fantasies. I enjoy other fantasy novels as well; everything from the stereotypical(but still entertaining) Forgotten Realms novels, to the somewhat juvenile Harry Potter books, to Stephan R. Lawhead's Celtic mythology-based works. I also enjoy the classics, and a few of my favorites include Little Women, Ivanhoe, Pride and Prejudice, Kidnapped, the Secret Garden and the Retrun of the Native. Other fictions include Green Darkness by Anya Seton and Dancing at Lughnasa by Brian Friel. Some of my favorite nonfiction books are Portait of a Killer: Jack the Ripper: Case Closed by Patricia Cornwell and Peter Gethers trilogy about his unique celeberaty cat's international journeys. Beyond this I read a lot of mythology, especially Celtic lore, as well as nearly anything else I can get my hands on.

About me: "Those who seek us surely find us,
See the trail we leave behind us,
Some bewildered, some enlightened,
Some are brave and some are frightened.
Are we kind, or are we vicious?
Nectar poisioned or delicious?
What, my sweet, will you discover,
Faerie foe or faerie lover?"

SIDHE: pronounced 'shee Irish Gaelic Noun 1. A fey or faerie, an immortal being inhabiting Ireland or Scotland 2. One of the ancient dieties of the Celts (See Tuatha de Danann)...
PRANKSTER: pronounced 'pra[ng](k)-ster AmeriEnglish from English "Prank" meaning "practical joke" archaic meaning "to decorate" Noun 1. One who plays pranks or pratical jokes, a trickster...
I am a dreamer, a poet, a philosopher of sorts, and, admittably, a bit of a prankster. I am as whimsical as a butterfly on the wind, never quite moving in a single direction. My being is constantly fluxuating between spells of deep thought, moments of fanciful light-heartedness and periods of mischevious vivacity. One moment introverted, the next lively. One moment spilling philosophical ideas and useless facts, the next replacing every number on your speed dial with the Psychiatric Hotline. Interlectual yet scatter-brained, I am capable of teaching myself Latin grammer, but incapable of remembering where in the name of everything sacred I left my coffee cup. More concerned with style than fashion, more concerned with heart than appereance, I can hardly be described as mainstream. Unusal in the extreme and much like a walking paradox, I drive most people crazy sometimes, but, thankfully, some of them love me anyway.
To quote an old Gaelic saying-
"May those who love us, love us
And those that don't love us,
May God turn their hearts;
and if He doesn't turn their hearts
May He turn their ankles
So we'll know them by their limping."
