The story of Sid Zombie began in April of 2006 in Washington, DC when lead singer Sid Zombie founded the band. Immediately, the band working on songs for what would be soon featured on their 2006 demo. By the summer of 2006, the band had released it’s first recordings to the world. Although album sales for the demo weren’t good, it attracted the attention of K1 Magazine owner Tim Stew. After connecting with Stew in late 2006, the band began appearing in issue after issue on K1 Magazine, thus drawing them more attention from the media, as well as new fans. In the Spring of 2007, Sid Zombie embarked on numerous promotional tours across the East Coast. These promo tours proved to be a success as the band would begin being featured on many local indie magazines and radio stations on the East Coast. By summer of 2007, the band was back in the studio cutting tracks for what would be the follow up to their demos. By late October 2007 the band released Cry Wolf, their first ever E.P. The E.P. was pressed to 250 copies and was sold for free as a gift to the fans. 2008 saw the band recording more songs, as well as doing a 5 date promo tour of New York. In May of 2008, the band decided to take their music online and join the popular social networking site-Myspace. This proved to be a good move for the band, as they attracted tons of new fans from across the globe. Only months after joining Myspace, Sid Zombie was chosen by Myspace.com as the 1 Glam Rock band in Washington, D.C., thus establishing the band’s presence online. The band would stay on the charts for the rest of the year and the majority of 2009, the longest a local unsigned band has ever stayed. February 2009, saw the band back doing promotional tours across the East Coast, and making front cover of DC Rocks! Magazine. After being on Myspace for nearly a year, Sid Zombie has become a Myspace phenomenon, reaching thousands of fans worldwide and over a million plays and views, it was evident that the band was here to make an impact and where going nowhere until they did it. The band went back into the studio and recorded more tracks for their next E.P. called Fatal Attraction: Part 1. However the E.P. itself never saw the light of day as lineup changes in the band occurred, thus leaving Sid on his own in search of new members. Only 5 songs were released to the media from the E.P. in the Summer of 2009. Sid Zombie would spend nearly the rest of 2009 looking for the right members for the band, but to no avail. In November of 2009, former 2nd Nature bass player Josh Stryker, joined the band. Shortly following, in late December 2009, former Nitrate drummer Phil Animal joins the nearly complete lineup. After a few more months of searching for a guitarist, Japanese guitar virtuoso Nadsuki Cat, joined the band, now completing the lineup, or so they thought. In May 2010, a new addition to the Sid Zombie lineup was announced as rhythm guitarist and ex-Mad Temple guitarist Bryant Joel would be joining the band. With the lineup now complete, Sid Zombie plans to take over the world. The band is set to record their full length debut album entitled Outlaws, which is due to be released in late 2010. With a strong worldwide legion of fans known as the Sid Zombie Army, the band is ready to change Rock N’ Roll as the self appointed “Saviors Of Glam Rock N Roll”. It is only a matter of time before these guys are selling out arenas worldwide!
