The Sierra Nevada Classical Guitar Festival and Competition will take place August 7-9, 2009 at beautiful Reno and Lake Tahoe.

Over three days, attendees will enjoy concerts, masterclasses, lectures, and a world-class competition. Enrollment in masterclasses is open until filled, so register early to get a spot. Vendors are also welcome to register if they contact the Sierra Nevada Guitar Society.
In addition to the festival activities, participants can experience all the natural beauty Lake Tahoe has to offer. The final day of the festival culminates with a full day of events at the specacular Thunderbird Lodge. See www.thunderbirdlodge.org for information about this historic site.

On Friday and Saturday the festival will occur in downtown Reno with numerous housing, dining and recreation activities within a short walk to the festival site. On Sunday for a roundtrip fee of $20 festival participants will be bussed to Thunderbird Lodge on the shores of Lake Tahoe for an unforgettable day of scenic beauty and great Classical Guitar performances.>
Further information about and assistance with lodging can be made available upon request. Lake Tahoe is a popular summer destination, so booking early is highly recommended. Also, register for the festival early to ensure your place in the masterclasses.
