Formed in late 2004, Sighlo, a hard rock band filled with heavy emotions and memorable melodies, is gearing to turn all ears on them. After four years of developing a strong foundation, the band’s writing continues to improve and is covering all sorts of ground within several different genres. Songs like My Calvary and Capture (“The Start” EP) have opposite classifications than other successful album tracks such as First Flaw and The Start – yet still maintain natural cohesiveness across the board. Sighlo’s originality creates the opportunity for national success as the band persistently tackles obstacles encountered on the roller coaster industry ride.
The band’s four year journey has presented them with over 400 live show performances ranging from North Dakota to New Jersey; touring through the Sun Belt and then back again. The band has had the opportunity to open for the likes of Hinder, Trapt, Puddle of Mudd , Sevendust, Mudvayne, 36 Crazyfists, Rev Theory, Rob Zombie, All that Remains, Shinedown and Chimaira, just to name a few.
Some of Sighlo’s growth can be attributed to their increased press record. They were voted into the “Top 10 Bands on Campus” presented by MTVU/Epic Records and have had publications in “Metal Edge Magazine”, “Loudside.com” and a feature spot for MTV2’s “On the Rise.” The guys’ current EP, “The Start”, is now available online in international music stores such as iTunes, Napster, Amazon and Rhapsody or can simply be obtained by supporting Sighlo at a live show near you.
Sighlo has just completed their third record titled Shattered Pieces. The album is now available for online purchase and at all Sighlo shows. Shattered Pieces will officially be available on iTunes, June 5th 2009. The band plans on continuing their viral expansion strategy and while many exciting things lie ahead, the band remains starved for imminent success and to have a renowned voice broadcast throughout the nation.

Guys, saw you at your CD release party and at SYC's. Seen you a number of times before that also. But that last show was off the charts, you keep that up we'll never see you in Columbus again, you'll be off touring the country or beyond. Never seen you guys play so well. Keep it up, but remember to send us a card from Europe someday.
FYI, we are back up to par with things as far as our schedule goes. Not sure when we plan to do our CD release party, but feel free to bring us back to the Newport anytime after mid-august. We'll help you pack another show.

Loving the new album, still waiting eagerly for the dvd, hope it is coming along well, since it wasn't ready for the SYC cd release show. I was bummed, but I know you guys are just taking the time to get it done right and it will awesome!
