The Nu Nu, The Next Generation of Creation - A Revolution of Evolution.
Sight represents an evolution in hip-hop consciousness. A true visionary, he pushes the intellectual envelope with street flavor and gripping lyrics. His uniquely inspirational style is both positive and intelligent, a refreshing change from the overplayed content that is currently saturating the market.
Sight has immense crossover appeal. Breaking through demographic borders he brings together a broad range of fans, crosses cultural divides and inspires audiences from young to old, from hip hop aficionados to curious newcomers. His professional debut album, "Destiny Manifest", features the breakthrough songs, "Time Keeps Runnin' Away" and "Eva Blessed". The album was produced at What Are Records? Studios, Babyface's Brandon's Way Studios, and Colorado Sound Studios, and is due to be released in January, 2009.
Growing up in Oakland, CA., Sight was exposed to the emergence of the hip-hop music and culture. After listening to some of the first hip-hop tracks ever recorded, he developed a passionate interest and the genre quickly became his favorite form of music.
At age 16, Sight began writing and performing in the Bay Area. It was in college, spending a year isolated on an island off the coast of Maine that he began writing songs and developing his act.
Sight developed his act in Colorado and started performing all over the state, exposing the area for the first time to his positive, inspirational and introspective style. A local R&B group, Kontrast, heard him perform and invited him to record in their studio. There Sight was introduced to his first producer, who immediately recognized Sight's raw talent. They have since became friends and business partners and recorded over 25 songs together.
Sight then started his own independent label, Heart Mind and Soul Productions, with his brother Soul, who is also a hip-hop artist. With chapters in California and Colorado, HMS is dedicated to promoting positive energy and unity through music and the arts. H.M.S. incorporated in 2008 and has exciting plans for Sight's upcoming album release.
Today, Sight has roughly a dozen producers, DJs, vocalists, and live musicians. He has performed at numerous clubs, festivals and private events all over Colorado including The Fox Theater, The Walnut Room, 'Round Midnight, Trilogy, The Root, The Bassment, Bacaro, Tulagi and at The Vail Film Festival. Sight was also a resident M.C. at Triana and The Foundry. Always inventive and on the cutting edge, Sight has performed with live Rock and Roll bands, classical violinists, glitch hop bands and was a member of The Project Underground, an innovative musical showcase.
Sight's smooth delivery is backed by a talented group of producers from L.A. to Sweden. Their resumes include a writer for Saturday Night Live - whose music videos are featured weekly, and a credited Broadway composer and protégé of Danger Mouse. Sight has created multi-regional exposure with years of impassioned performances and has plans to take the world by storm. To the next generation and the new school, Sight represents the future of hip-hop.
