A hybrid mix of melodic black, death, thrash, and progressive metal
SIGIL OF AEONS formed in Fall of 2006 when guitarists Joshua Landry and Mackenzie Jones met in high school. They decided to form a melodic death metal/metalcore group, originally entitled DEMON OF THE FALLEN, but were unable to find other members to pursue the band. Fortunately, in April of 2007, the band was joined by drummer Gabriel Leblanc and bassist Alex Cormier. Near the start of the summer, the final piece of the group, vocalist Cody Bernard, joined and completed the lineup of the group. SOA (or at this time still known as DOTF) remained inactive over the summer due to the vacations of several members. Near the end of the summer and start of the school year, the band lost two crucial members, founding guitarist Mackenzie Jones and bassist Alex Cormier. Guitarist Chris Lee and bassist Jesse Briggs joined the group soon after to fill in for these spots in the band. Unfortunately in May 2008, the band parted ways with vocalist Cody Bernard, leaving Josh and Jesse to take up the role as vocalists.
We have had the pleasure of playing with bands such as Children of Eve, Iron Giant, Today I Caught The Plague, Woods Of Ypres, Architects, The Isosceles Project, Drowning Beneath the Skyline, Straight Reads The Line, Survivors Will Be Shot Again, Jokes About War, the Motorleague, and countless others.
