Forged from the ashes of the imploded Skydiva, sprinkled with sardinian charm and stuffed full of more Dave than the average band, SIKORA have begun to seduce bigger and bigger audiences with their magnificent, muscular melodies, handmade, harmonious harmonies and rambunctious, rollocking rhythms. the last few months have seen this happy mob of odd shaped musos play everywhere from the back of a truck at the Sharrow Festival to regular slots at The Grapes, to triumphant gigs at The Boardwalk and The Leadmill. upcoming projects involve recording at Red Cloud Studios (sharing space with leading Sheffield band Bison) and at 2fly Studios (with Arctic Monkeys producer Alan Smythe) as well as video projects and further gigs. Graham New lends the long lost mystical object known only as ..Graham..s brain.. to the creation of Sikora..s tunes and lyrics, interpreted to perfection by the silken boxing glove of Andrea Oggiano..s vocals and keyboards. Pinned to the bed in submission by Sikora..s rhythm section of bassist/vocalist/smarty pants Dave White and small but perfectly formed drummer David Fong, SIKORA..s melodies, harmonies and unstoppable beat will have you wilting in admiration, blooming in joyful appreciation, sprouting buds of bubbling bounciness and running off to Holland to be a tree.

Just thought we'd let you know about a gig we're doing which might (lump in throat) be our last. For a number of reasons we're calling it a day after October, at least for a while.
So Saturday the 18th of October is going to be pretty special.
We've got the big Live Room at Plug in Sheffield for the night, and pressganged almost everybody who has ever played with us over the years to join us for an Uber-Gig of Justice.
We're playing from 8 till 10:30 with a bit of a break in the middle. Then we've got the Earth Bar for more dancing and a nice chilled out after-party till 3.
