....Silence Is Broken was established in 2005 with members wanting
to do something more then their previous ventures. Which is
exactly what they did within the first 2 years of being around
they managed to play over 150 shows and play with many nationals
consisting of 10years, Flaw, Black Stone Cherry, 12Stones, Nonpoint, Switched, Evans Blue,Kittie,
Bobaflex, The Used, Smile Empty Soul etc. And ending the second
year with a national tour with their friends in DOPE and Anew
Revolution.
Now just a couple short months away from 4 years, there has been some
line-up changes. With one of the original members Shawn Wade
leaving and joining friends in 12stones they got Alex Cando to take over on
bass playing, which many of you know from his past endeavors Darwin's Waiting Room,
Alston, Flaw, and Five.Bolt.Main. Since this line-up change has been confirmed, Silence
Is Broken have released a highly anticipated E.P. ...A Brief Moment Of Silence with
friend and respected producer Ben Schigel(drowning pool,chimaira,sw1tched,breaking point).
The E.P. was released late in 2008, available at shows and online. They are
currently looking at 2009 summer touring options and hope to be back out on the road
and doing what they do best, putting on a high energy in your face show, something that
has made them one of the premiere midwest regional live bands.
Silence Is Broken is very proud to be supported by our good friends at Broken Threads, WettBoxx Gear,
and Level27 Clothing. Thank you to all who have bought the music and who have to come
to the shows and continued to show us support thru the ups and downs.
Silence is Broken is actively seeking label support and are working hard independently
to spread the word.
