Silent T Party is a creative nonviolent national grassroots response to the Congressional decision to gamble gender identity and expression protections in the move to pass ENDA, the workplace non-discrimination legislation. Silent T Party was originated by KJAH at Soulforce Q in the autumn chills of Minneapolis, MN.
Heroes
People who live every day with integrity and bring peace and justice into this world
About me: Our collective immediate response to ENDA will define the character of the LGBT movement in America for future generations... The "T" has been the strongest, had it the roughest, and stood the proudest all along. What kind of family sells its kids out in the moment of greatest need?
Be heard!
SILENT T PARTY is an opportunity for people of all genders and sexualities to stand together as one proud and whole community at a time when we're expected to stand apart.
Be seen!
SILENT T PARTY is an opportunity to raise trans/gender awareness in your community and let Congress and the nation know we are not "separate but equal" when our humanity and dignity are on the line.
Be reckoned with!
SILENT T PARTY is an opportunity to have FUN! We should celebrate our whole community and lift it up in all its multifaceted glory when we are supposed to stay quiet and keep it down.
Q: HOW TO HAVE A SILENT T PARTY?
A: HOWEVER YOU WANT IT! (see below)
While the Congress deserves a wholehearted thank you and a sincere pat on the back for passing the long overdue Matthew Shepard Act and finally getting to ENDA (which has floated around the Capitol since the late 1970s), our transgender and gender-variant family members should not be shut out and left behind!
None are safe until all are safe.
Injustice anywhere...
Now, pass the tea!

ONE LAST THING aka THE BEST FOR LAST
At your event, please, create a SILENT T MOMENT by videotaping a creative message from all the participants. Be as loud or as quiet as you want to be. Express how ya'll really feel about ENDA. Make it about a minute and upload to YouTube with a clip titled "Silent T Party Moment - your name, city, venue." See examples there already.
